Procedures:
Begin the lesson reading Uncle Andys by James Warhola. Then children
will view teacher chosen images of Andy Warhol and his works. As a
whole group discuss the project to be assigned and the rubric, which will
be used for assessment.
The project will be as follows: Children will team up (3-4 students per) and
formulate ideas (which will be written down) on taking regular items and
creating art pieces with them, by displaying items in a certain fashion or
utilizing items to create 3-dimensional objective art. Once the team has

agreed on one concept, they will then gather chosen items to create
their 3-D display. Teams will also create a title and a one-paragraph
description for their display.
Then each student will personally utilize various types of paints and/or
drawing utensils to create a personal painting/drawing of the teams 3-D
art display, signing said art piece with chosen signature.
Closure:
Parents, school staff, and students will then visit an exhibit of these pieces
along with teams displays.
Accommodations:
I will ensure any child with physical limitations will have necessary tools

weight.
Any child with learning disabilities will be guided to work with certain peers
within particular teams, so as to encourage the student to feel more
confident interacting and producing work.
Assessment:
Children will be given a teacher created rubric following standards, and
assessed according to said rubric.
