Aug. 7, Sun.-Join us at Blainsport Mennonite Church for a song service and a time of
reminiscing at 6:30 p.m. as we anticipate 90th anniversary celebrations on October 1 and 2.
An ice cream social will follow this evening program. For more information on any of
these dates, call 717-278-8459.

Aug. 8, Mon.- Ministry Team will meet at 6 p.m. and Board of Elders at 7 p.m.
Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement,
suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input
is welcomed.
Aug. 20, Sat.-There will be a Chicken BBQ and Corn Roast held at Gehman Mennonite
Church beginning at 5 p.m. There will be games later in the evening
Aug. 17, Wed.-Plan to join the District Sewing Circle held at BMC in the morning
and afternoon. With school days approaching, MCCs special project will be school
kits- notebooks and pencils are treasures for families who struggle to afford basic
school supplies. School kits are often requests after disasters and help bring normalcy
to children whose families have been forced to flee their homes. Contents (New items
only)-4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8 x 10 & 70 sheets), 8 unsharpened
pencils, 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic, indicating both 30 cm & 12 in.), 12 colored
pencils (in packaging), 1 large pencil eraser. School kits are placed in a useful double
drawstring cloth bag. Donate contents only & Sewing Circle will supply bags. Thank
you for your generosity in helping at sewing circle and donations.
Aug. 27, Sat.-Woodcrest Retreat's Benefit 3D Archery Shoot. 30 Target Course,
Archery Supplies, Door prizes. Course opens at 7 a.m. with Hot Brunch and speaker at
10 a.m. Course reopens at 11 a.m.. Adults:$25, Under 16:$15. Please call 717-7382233 to register. Proceeds benefit the Children's Summer Camp.
Sept. 18, Sun.-A hymn sing led by Adrian Nolt, Ephrata, will be held in the 1855
Allegheny Mennonite Meetinghouse on at 2 p.m., using the hymnbook, The Hymns of
the Church. Please bring your copy. Copies will also be provided. For more

-During the month of August our congregation provides groceries and Tuesday
evening Bible studies for the men living at Freedom Gate Ministries in Reading.
Please talk to Steve if you would consider buying the groceries or leading a Bible
study for one of the Tuesdays. Also, anyone interested in attending the Bible study on
any Tuesday is invited to meet here at church at 6:30 p.m.
