Evaluation of Student:
Grades will be determined by comparing the number of points a student has earned with the total points possible for
any given time in the grading period.
(Total points earned Total points possible) 100 = percent grade
Grades are not just limited to the categories listed below.
Grades will mostly be taken from:
Homework will be graded on a daily basis for completion or accuracy at the discretion of the teacher. (Each homework
assignment is worth 5 points.)
Class Assignments These may be graded for completion or accuracy
Projects These will be started in class but finished at home
Quizzes These will be given randomly throughout the school year. They may occur with or without notice.
Tests These will cover a specific unit of study, however, any prior concept is subject to be on any test. Students may stay
after school and correct their mistakes to earn back half their points missed.
Together, quizzes and test compose 60% of your overall grade
*Points may vary on each assignment
**Grading system is subject to change at the beginning of each 9 weeks

Office Write-Up
Math Tutoring:
Students will be able to complete make-up work, perform test corrections, and receive tutoring on Monday Wednesday during lunch or afterschool until 4:00 pm. Tutoring will take place in my room (230) and students will
have access to the calculators and any other necessary resources. This is the ONLY way students will be able to
complete test corrections and attempt any missing work.

Bridge Mathematics
Academic standards, chosen by the Tennessee State Board of Education, provide a common set of expectations for what
students should know and be able to do at the end of a specific grade or course. Local school districts determine the order

every assignment for Bridge Mathematics, as additional or different assignments may be created based on the needs of
students. Specific details for major assignments will be shared with students and parents or legal guardians as the
standards related to the assignments are addressed in class.
