Musical Chairs Lesson Plan

- In my music room, I do not have a class set of chairs to play the traditional game
of musical chairs. Instead, I cut a class set of 10 cm x 10 cm pieces of cloth to use
instead of chairs.
- Students stand in a circle and put a piece of cloth of the floor infront of them.
*There has to be 1 student that does NOT have a piece of cloth.
- Using music from the Karaoke section of this website, play a song while students
walk around in a circle. When you stop the music, students put one of their feet
on a piece of cloth. Whoever cannot stand on a piece of cloth is out of the game,
removes another piece of cloth from the floor, and sits to the side.
- Play continues until there is only 1 student left.
