youtube if nothing else is available, but find a good instructor not that nutin fancy idiot. Find a local competition to enter. Even if you don't have the exact right equipm ent. Shoot with whatever you have. Nothing at all wrong with shooting a $350 surplus Glock and cheap white box ammo from walmart. Nothing at all. You may not win 1st place, but you'll get great training in shooting under stress, weapons handeling , rapid target aquisition, moving and reloading and how your equiment works (or find out when it doesn't work). You can find suitable .22 rifles for $140-$200 that you can use as practice/trai ner rifles, or use them for inexpensive competition. Marlin and Savage brands bo th have affordable models to get you started on any budget. You can chose from t he bolt action with is more accurate but slower, or a semi-auto, which is faster , but usually less accurate. As long as teh rules say you can use a semi-auto, you can shoot almost any compe tition you want- smallbore target competitions, smallbore sillhoutte etc. It doe sn't matter if eveyone else is shooting $5,000 target rifles- get in there, comp ete a little bit and have fun and gain experience.
Fitness should always be a key component of your overall plan. try for variety or crosstraining... walk, bike, hike, swim, lift, ride, climb or run. or some c ombination of those.
