Course objective

This course teaches implementation consultants, implementation partners and support

representatives basic configurations necessary in SuccessFactors Employee Central. This 8 day
course has been condensed from 13 days (from SuccessFactors Employee Central) and it is designed
only for SAP partners and independents so their down-time from work is minimized. It is taught
through a combination of self-guided learning, check-in meetings and hands-on exercises.

This course includes

Learning hub access to have access to SAP Learning Room eLearning content covering
SuccessFactors HCM Suite. This learning room provides SAP Learning Hub subscribers with a
collaborative environment to learn more about the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite;
8 days classroom training covering content from SuccessFactors Employee Central Academy;
Certification in the Cloud voucher for C_THR81_1505 SAP Certified Application Associate
SuccessFactors Employee Central Q2/2015.

This course does not include

Note that SAP Learning Hub subscription is required as part of this Platinum Academy course.
However it is not included in this cost. If you do not yet have an SAP Learning Hub subscription,
please reach out to your SAP Education contact. MDF can also be used to claim 100% of the SAP
Learning Hub cost.

Content

Explain Employee Central as an HRIS, including features and functions from both an end-user and
implementation viewpoint

Prepare a basic EC test environment including:

o

Foundation Table creation, configuration and management

HR Data configuration and management

Manage user security using Role-Based Permissions (RBP)

Implement Self-Service including Events/Event Reasons and Workflows

Build Meta Data Framework (MDF) Objects in Employee Central and create configurable Rules
using the Rules Engine

Describe the types of Integrations and Systems that integrate with Employee Central

Describe and setup Position Management and Time Off

Notes

This class will be delivered using the latest release of the SuccessFactors HCM Suite.

Only registered SAP Partner consultants will be provided with provisioning rights once they have
been certified. Independent consultants, even if certified, will not be provided with provisioning
rights. There are no exceptions to this policy.

All SuccessFactors (Platinum Academy and Academy) training courses are being conducted via the
SAP Learning Hub. If you do not currently have a subscription to the Learning Hub, please contact
your SAP Education contact.
