Counseling Background/ Experience

During my time at Booker Behavioral Health Center, the location I completed my 1,000 hours of
clinical work, I have gained valuable experience counseling children who present with a variety
of issues. I have worked with clients who have issues related to anxiety, mood disorders, anger
management, autism spectrum disorders, cognitive disorders, and impulse control.
I feel that it is imperative to fit counseling skills and techniques to the client, rather then a client
to the techniques so I am an advocate of using multiple theoretical modalities including cognitive
behavioral therapy, client centered therapy and play therapy.
