Below is the syllabus that FIRE has designed specifically for students who are serious about passing their Series 7 exam in 12

StudentGuidelines
Your participation is a critical component to your success. Following these guidelines will increase your ability to learn and apply the information you
need to be successful. This course will help prepare you for your exam. It will be very challenging you will be learning a large amount of material,
which means discipline and hard work, but it will be worth it in the end.
PLEASE NOTE: A twelve-week clock starts the first time you launch an activity in your course.
The course is comprised of 18 modules, four midterm exams, five mini-finals, four extra print-based final exams, and six final exams.
Modules Each module is comprised of the following:
Lesson the lesson is available in both an online format and a print (PDF) format; the content of each is identical, and you should read one
version or the other, depending on your preference.
- Executive Summary the key points of each lesson are presented in bold red print in the lesson, and are also found in the Executive
Summary at the beginning of each lesson. You should read the Executive Summary to familiarize yourself with these key points, then
read the lesson to gain more insight into the material. You should re-read the Executive Summary after completing the quizzes for
each module.
Tutorial each module includes recorded PowerPoint tutorials with audio. These tutorials are an invaluable and necessary part of each
module.
- We also offer live tutorial sessions, covering the same content as the recorded tutorials. You should consider attending a live tutorial
session if the tutorial being offered coincides with your progress in the curriculum, or if you've had trouble with a module and would
like revisit it and ask questions during the tutorial. The tutorials are generally offered Monday through Thursday, starting at 9 a.m.
Pacific Time/12 noon Eastern Time. You can find a schedule of and sign up for upcoming live tutorials by launching "Register for a
Live Tutorial" on your Course Progress screen under Module 00.
Many students like to have copies of the tutorial slides available when watching the tutorials so they can make notes on them.
- If you sign up for a live tutorial session, the slides will be emailed to you the morning of the tutorial.
- If you view a recorded tutorial, you may download the slides from the corresponding module of your Course Progress screen.
Quiz each module has two or more quizzes that test your knowledge of the material presented in the module.
- You should take the quizzes only after reading the lesson and viewing the tutorial.
- You are not required to achieve a passing score on any of the quizzes, and you should use the quizzes as a means of assessing what
you've learned.

Exams
Midterms there are four midterm exams that cover Modules 1 - 6 only. These midterms are not to be taken all at once; instead they are
to be taken as indicated in the syllabus. This is to ensure that the information you have learned in the first six modules remains fresh in
your mind as you progress into other modules. Three of the midterms are 50 questions each, and you are given 72 minutes to complete
each. The last midterm is 125 questions, and you have 180 minutes to complete it.
Mini-Finals there are five mini-final exams with 50 questions each, and you have 72 minutes to complete each. These mini-finals are
intended to test your knowledge of all 18 modules and are to be taken after completing all modules.
Print-Based Practice Exams there are four print-based practice exams of 125 questions each that test your knowledge of all 18 modules
and are to be taken after completing the mini-finals. Since these are print-based, they are not timed, but you should strive to complete
each in 180 minutes or less.
Final Exams there are six final exams with 125 questions each, covering all 18 modules, and you are given 180 minutes to complete each.
Assessment Summary our quizzes and exams are designed to help you determine your weaknesses and to direct you to the sections of
the lessons that will help strengthen those weak areas.
After submitting a quiz or exam, you will be taken to the Assessment Summary page that shows your score. This page also lists the module
and section references associated with each question you missed. You should print or save this list, and re-read each of the sections listed
in order to get a better understanding of the material.
The Assessment Summary page also includes a "Review My Answers" button. By clicking on this button, you will see a small window with a
grid of the question numbers. By clicking on a question number, you will be shown the question, the answer you selected, and the correct
answer. You will also see the rationale behind the correct answer, and the module and section reference where more information about
that topic can be found. IMPORTANT: Do not close this window or exit this page until you have reviewed all of your answers and printed
or saved the list of modules and sections indicated by the Assessment Summary. You will not be given another opportunity to review your
missed questions, and with the exception of the final exams, there is no way to regenerate an Assessment Summary once you close the
window or exit the page. The Assessment Summary for your most recent attempt at any final exam can be regenerated by clicking the blue
question mark icon associated with the exam. Additionally, all of your most recent final exam Assessment Summaries are merged to create
your suggested study plan, which can be downloaded by clicking the link at the top of your Course Progress screen.
You should not repeat any quiz or exam unless instructed to do so, even if you did not receive a passing score. Doing so will lead to
unintentional memorization of the answers, which will lead to a false sense of accomplishment.

* The 12-week syllabus has been designed for students who cannot devote eight hours a day to studying, and as such, the syllabus indicates that you
should take one final exam per day on Days 52 through 57. However, the Series 7 exam is comprised of 260 questions, and in an effort to prepare
you for processing 260 questions in one day, we recommend that you take two final exams per day if time permits.
Once you have successfully completed the Series 7 course, you should take the Series 7 exam as soon as possible. If your scheduled exam date is
more than a couple of days away, you should contact the testing centers every day to see if they have an opening. Others may have scheduled
their exams, realized at the last minute that they're not ready, and cancelled their appointment, opening an opportunity for you to sit for your
exam.
The day before you sit for the Series 7 exam, review all Executive Summaries, and review the slides for the tutorials associated with Modules 11, 14,
and 18. You should do light review only; do not take any exams. Do not study past 5:00 p.m.
