Print up bears on white card stock. Trim, attach a piece of velcro (rough side) to the
bears and use as a flannel story. (More options: Attach popsicle sticks to the back
with tape - Attach to flannel using glue or spray adhesive - trim)

Color Bears

Use this activity during circle time to practice color recognition.

Print up the following color bears on white card stock. Laminate.
Mount the bear cutouts on craft sticks. During circle time, pass a
bear to each child. Start by saying, Blue bear, blue bear, what
do you see? Have the child or children look around and identify
items that are blue. Continue in this manner until all of the colors
have been called.

Bouncing Bear
Use a parachute or a large sheet for this
bouncing fun. Space the children evenly
around the parachute or sheet. Instruct
each child to hold the parachute tightly with
both hands. Next place a teddy bear in the
center of the parachute and challenge the
children to move their hands so that the
bear bounces and flips in the air. Get the
bear to bounce side to side. Have the bear
hid under: the parachute. Have the bear
bounce on top of the parachute.
