NI HVAC Lab
The NI HVAC Lab covers a wide range of curriculum topics like Temperature Control, System
Modeling and Model Verification. It also offers complete documentation through user
manuals and setup guides.
The NI HVAC Lab is ideal for illustrating concepts covered in Fluid Dynamics and
Thermodynamics Control courses. It comprises of the NI ELVIS Add-on Board for HVAC,
which teaches students how to design a control system that regulates temperature in a
chamber, using the NI ELVIS II+ Workstation and the NI LabVIEW interface. The NI ELVIS
Add-on Board for HVAC features a chamber equipped with temperature sensor, heat source
and fan.
A wide range of control experiments that feature hardware-in-the-loop operation can also be
conducted in the laboratory environment using this Lab.
The plug-and-play feature of the NI HVAC Lab makes it easy to setup and allows you to
switch experiments in a matter of minutes, resulting in optimal use of your facilities. This Lab
considerably increases the value of your investment in NI ELVIS II+ and NI LabVIEW graphical
programming software. Designed to connect easily to the NI ELVIS II+ Workstation in place
of the standard prototype board, the cost-effective, plug-and-play boards of the Lab
significantly extend the functionality of the NI Platform.
