Group #14 DESIGN OF SUBSURFACE DRAINAGE SYSTEM

The assigned group reporters for the Design of Subsurface Drainage

System evaluated the different topics to tackle when considering a subsurface
drainage system. The reporters of the group pointed each considerations about the
given topic. They deliberate the methods for designing subsurface drainage, the
necessities of a drainage, and the closed and open underdrains.

The first reporter; Ms. Adriano, she explained the purpose of subsurface
drainage system when it comes to designing it and the necessity for the drainage.
Ms. Adriano was good when it comes to discussing about the topic but turns out that
we hardly understand whats shes pointing. For lacking of information about the
designated topic, its a little bit confusing because she didnt even understand what
shes discussing.
The second reporter; Ms. Nidoy, shed been given the topic of the subsurface
drainage methods. Its a well presented explanation of the methods of what she
discussed, the presentation was very good, she explained the topics well by giving
an examples to make each methods more understandable.
The third reporter; Mr. Rafael, The given topic was the closed and open
underdrains, he did well on explaining the design requirements for the topic and the
leaching process. He may not be speaking English that often when he reports, but
he delivered the topic well and the presentation was good.

Group #13 ECONOMICS OF FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT

The reporters evaluated the Flood control project and how it gives benefits to
the economy.

The first reporter; Mr. Apostol, the given topic was about the Marginal Cost,
and the benefits of a flood control projects. The power point presentation was good
but it seems like he only read the words he got from the presentation but didnt
research well because he didnt discussed on his own words.
The second reporter; Mr. Vidad, the presentation was about the estimates
benefits of flood control and the cross-benefit analysis for a flood control project. He
reported his topic by presenting a video but didnt seem to be explaining each video
for us to make it more clearer. His voice was barely understandable because of the
quietness of his voice.
The third reporter; Mr. Payumo, the discussion was the Remote Sensing
Process and its Techniques. The reporting of Mr. Payumo was good, all of the
explanations and examples are well delivered, it made us understand it more easier,
but the only problem was his voice, Its not too loud.
