Dear Diary,
Today was a busy day. I had a Mathematics and Bahasa Melayu
test. The Mathematics assessment was not too difficult but the
Bahasa Melayu assessment was quite challenging. After school, I
meet up with my friends, Ahmad and Munira. Later, I had lunch
at the canteen with Dina and Anisa. We ate chicken rice and kaya
balls.
Then, we attended the Music Club meeting. Our teacher advisor
said that he would like us to take part in an interstate singing
competition. All our club members were very excited and
everyone gave suggestions for songs we should sing. After the
meeting, I went for netball practice.
I was quite tired by the time I got home. After taking a shower I
rested for a while. Mother needed my help to cook dinner. I
cooked fish curry and fried the vegetables. After dinner I sat
down to do my homework. I had English and Science homework. It
took me two hours to finish my homework.

________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________
A very good morning to the headmistress, teachers and fellow
students.
Cleaning up the environment may seem like too big a
_______________________________________________________________________
problem, but we can all do our part in making the world a cleaner
_______________________________________________________________________
place.
You could start by recycling. If we do not recycle, there would be
so much rubbish on the ground that we could not even see our own
feet! When you recycle paper, it improves the oxygen level in our
atmosphere. For example, when we recycle plastic, new things can be
made from it, such as bottles, carpets or trays
We should also conserve energy. Try using less water and energy.
The fewer resources we need to take from nature, the less energy we
need to produce. Therefore, do not take long showers and turn off the
lights when you leave the room. This will help save the environment
and also save your money. Apart from that, do not use the airconditioner all the time. Try using it only when the weather is very
warm.
You should also use products that do not harm the environment.
To help keep the water clean, do not buy products with words Toxic ,
Danger or Warning on their labels. If they do, these products are
probably harmful to you and the environment.
Read the speech carefully and answer questions (a) (i).

NEWS BREAK
Now why so loving, darling,
And why the sudden kiss?
Youd help me with some little jobs?
For goodness sake, whats this?
Your face is clean for once, dear.
Your clothes without a crease.
You saved your luncheon money?
Will wonders never cease?
No dropping of your school books,
No shrieking, childish treble.
Today you are a lamb, love,
Where yesterday a rebel.
But surely youre some stranger,
No rage or hullabaloo.
Come closer, let me look, dear,
Can this be REALLY you?
Now were you struck by lightning
Or were you stunned at sport?
Ah now I see the reason.
Youve brought your school report!
