Employability:
You will be graded on:
1. Turning work in on time
2. Ethical behavior- following classroom rules
3. Work productively together
You will receive three points per week (1 for each of the above
criteria). If you receive an unexcused absence, you will lose all
points for that day.

Assessments
Each unit you will have at least one quiz. This quiz will help to
assess how much you have learned and help you prepare for tests. The
test will be given at the end of each unit. Labs will be scattered
throughout the unit and completed in assigned groups. You will be
required to handwrite lab reports individually.
On any assessment, if cheating occurs (you copy someones work and
turn it in as your own OR you give your work to be copied) you will
receive a zero for that assessment with no opportunity to retake it.
Practice
Practice assignments will be given in class therefore a teacher is
present in order to help students. Each worksheet will be graded off of
the discussion we have in class over the assignment. In order to
partake in the discussion students must have the assignment
completed. If not, to get credit students must come into enrichment to
discuss a problem with me within two weeks of the due date.
Final
Each semester will have one cumulative test in order to assess
students overall learning.
Absences
When a student is absent he or she will have 2 days to make up
any missed work from that time. If the day he or she is absent a project
or test is due , the student must turn the project in or take the test the
day upon returning to class. If a student is absent the day before the
test, it is still expected that if he or she is present on test day he or she
will take the test.
Retakes
After an assessment students will have the opportunity to retake
a test or quiz or redo a lab in which they were unhappy with. In order
for a retake to happen the student must come in and correct their
assessment. Then they will have the opportunity to retake. This can be
done only within two weeks after receiving the assessment back.
Behavior
Inappropriate behavior will not be accepted in this classroom. You
will receive first a warning then there will be removal from the
classroom for the day. Safety is a priority and any unsafe behavior will
not be accepted.
