Instruction that integrates technology is vital to the academic and life success of students. Teachers must
be masters of their given subjects and be knowledgeable of the best instruction and assessment tools
available to themselves and the students. Technology can provide valuable instant feedback to students
on their performance, which allows better outcomes for the students. Educators can also use technology
as tools to aid when students are learning a topic that is just out of reach to them. Using this zone of
proximity allows students to work and figure things out for themselves.

There are many technologies available to use for both teachers and students. Podcasts can be used to
communicate information to students through the web. They can also be used as an assessment tool for
students who may not excel in written assessments; they can communicate what is learned in their own
voice. I created a website with many links to websites that provide educational benefit to the students, as
well as useful tools for teachers to use in classroom management, motivation, and content learning.

I created a graphic that illustrated the different theories of learning of Piaget, Bruner and Vygotsky. In a
group visual presentation, we described the similarities and differences between them all. I also provided
a response to the different uses of technology and how certain technologies have impacted learning.

4K

I created a lesson plan that implemented different ways to use voice recognition for students who may
have a writing or encoding disability. I also found websites provided on my annotated list on the website
that have many different ways of explaining concepts of lessons.

I found articles showing students learning using different forms technology. My annotated educational
resources provide many programs that can be used to maximize learning. I listed different ways that many
different technologies can be used in the classroom in even a single lesson.

I created a twitter account that could be used to post updates to students about assignments and that can
be used to answer questions when they are not at school. I created a differentiated assessment approach
that involves using voice-recognition software for students to keep a spoken journal about their learning
progress. My annotated web list also provides many links to sources that can assist in learning.

In class, this standard was met by reviewing other students presentations and providing feedback. My
lesson plan of using voice recognition software to assess student learning also covered this standard.
Posting to class discussions and replying to peers posts also fulfills this standard.

For the group project, as a team we needed to used a shared presentation site to put all of our work
together. Part of this assignment included a graphic that needed online research to find the data to
compile.

My responses to TPACK illustrate how important it is for educators to be aware and knowledgeable of
new technologies that can be implemented in the classroom to maximize student learning. The annotated
websites listen on my Weebly also has up-to-date programs that are beneficial to learning and
assessment.

The graphic I created in class simply teaches students on the ethics of working from the internet. By using
a blog, educators can communicate with parents and students in a way that models good online
citizenship.
