Introduction
A. Ask question: Do you see mice in your dorms or apartment?
[Shows pictures of indicators of mice infestation] Here are
examples of trails mice leave which shows that your dormitories,
apartments and household are already infested with them, bringing
with them different kinds of diseases.
B. Our credibility to demonstrate the construction of a mouse trap is
rooted from our background and experiences.
1. Most of us live independently in dormitories and apartments
that normally house pets including mice.
2. We as students do not have much resources to spend other than
living expenses.
3. We have already makeshift mouse trap.
C. Diseases caused by mice infestation can be prevented by learning
how to make a cheap, reusable, and easy to do mouse trap.
Need Step
A. When mice are not taken care of immediately, they tend to bring
quickly exponentially increasing the risk of getting diseases.
B. Students lack of allowance leads to compromising with the mice
problem.
C. Living in mice infested environment brings inconvenience and
distractions especially while studying.

Satisfactory Step

A. This makeshift mouse trap catches live mice, making it unstained

and preventive of the spread of contamination caused by decay and
spilled bodily fluids from traps that instantly kill them.
1. The mousetrap is easy to do.
2. Few materials are needed for its construction.
B. The trap is made from large PET bottles that are readily available
to use and recycled, making it cheap.
1. Cut the threaded spout of the bottle and the upper portion of the
bottle.
2. Cut triangular pikes at the cut portion and fold them inwardly.
C. Using the trap is convenient because it makes use of a luring
system that can be easily replenished making it reusable.
1. The pikes cut will serve as the spiked barricade which prevents
the mouse from getting out once it has entered the trap.
2. Reattach the upper portion with a tough tape and put it inside
your bait that is preferable derived from fruits and nuts which
does not spoil easily.
IV.

Conclusion
A. This makeshift mousetrap is easy to make and cheap which is
appropriate for most students who do not have the luxury of
buying commercial traps.
B. Sanitation is essential when disposing of mice to prevent further
risks from other pests aside from mice.
