Experiment No. 1
Objective: Working with Google drive using google form, spreadsheets etc.
Requirement:

Google Account

Theory:
Google Drive, formerly Google Docs, is a file storage and synchronization service created
by Google. It allows users to store files in the cloud, share files, and edit documents, spread
sheets, and presentations with collaborators. Google Drive encompasses Google Docs,
Sheets, and Slides, an office suite that permits collaborative editing of documents, spread
sheets, presentations, drawings, forms, and more.
1. Build your form:To start, well create a new form and tailor it for your audience. Forms automatically save
every change you make.

1.1 Create a new form


Create a new form: In Google Drive, click New > More > Google Forms.

1.2 Design your form


1. Rename your form: Click Untitled form and type a new name.
2. Change your forms look and feel: At the top, click Colour Palette to change the
background colour or click Select Theme to change the forms theme. You can choose
an existing theme or upload photos to make your own theme.
1.3 Add and edit questions
Add questions: To add a question to your form, click Add question and select one of the
following types of question:

1.4 Edit your form


Click Add title and description and enter a title and brief description.

Click Add image and drag an image to the box or click Choose an image to upload.

Click Add video and search for the video or add the URL and click Select

Click Add section and enter a title for the section. Then, click more to duplicate,

delete, or merge it. Click Expand or collapse to expand or minimize a section view.

2. Share and collaborate


To work on your form with teammates or even people outside of your company, just
share it. As with any Google document, people can make changes at the same time, and
youll see their changes after they happen.

In this section, you'll learn how to Share and collaborate:

Open the form you want to share.


On the Forms menu bar, click more and select Add collaborators

In the Invite people section, enter any user or group email addresses you want to share with
and click Send.
Click Done.

Everyone you shared with will receive an email with a link to your form, which they can now
edit.

3. Send your form


When youre done editing your form, its time to start gathering some answers!
In this section, you'll learn how to:

Choose where to collect responses

Preview and share your form

Print your form

Make copies to build more forms

3.1. Choose where to collect responses


Capture all of your survey responses in one place so you can analyze them later.
On the Responses tab, you can see the responses in Forms.

Click View responses in Sheets to send the responses to a spreadsheet.

3.2 Preview and share your form


To see how your form will look to others, click Preview

You have several ways to share your form:

Send your form in an email along with a subject and message.

Copy and share a link (or short URL) to your form.

.Embed your form on a website.

Share a link to your form via social media

4. Analyze responses
After you create your form and send it out, you can view the responses in 3 different ways.
In this section, you'll learn how to:

View a summary of your responses

View responses in Sheets

View and download responses as a CSV file

Advantages of Google Drive:1. Access your files everywhere.


Google stores your files in their server and you can access them no matter where you are as
long as you are able to access to internet.
2. You can edit and make changes to the files.
Google Drive gives you instant access to Google Docs, a suite of editing tools that allow you
to edit and make changes to your files.
3. Able to access with various devices.
You can simply access to Google Drive and access your files anytime and anywhere as long
as you have a device on hand with network; it is access-able with various devices such as PC,
Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
4. Easy to search your files.
Google Drive has the feature of searching by keyword and filter by file type, you get your
files very quickly. Even though your file is an image file, you can also search the word in the
image file.
5. View any types of file.
Google Drive can opens any types of file such as HD video, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop,
there are up to 30 file types in your browser. The best thing is that you dont have to install or
own this file type in your PC.
6. Share your files with your friends.
It has the feature which you can share your files to your friends with just a few simple click.
You can set the permission where your friends can either view, edit, comment on your stuff,
or all of them.
7. Open discussion.
You can create and reply to comments to get feedback and make files more collaborative, it
can be done by commenting directly on the files.
8. 15GB Disk Space and Its FREE!
You can get started with 15GB of disk space, its free! You can store everything you want
with this 15GB of disk space
