The work experience in BlueChief was informative, challenging and extremely beneficial
and relevant to me and the course in Griffith College. I was given training and mentoring
on social media, and given stats and facts to research. I was then encouraged to
manage the Instagram account and the Facebook page to implement my knowledge that
I learnt in my training.
Through the course of this internship, I felt mentored and supported through every step
of the way. The team were helpful and friendly. I enjoyed getting to know the team and
interacting with them. I finished two online training courses Inbound Marketing from
HubSpot and Digital Garage from Google. These certifications are now on my LinkedIn
profile. I finished doing the week of Facebook account management of just sharing other
pages posts which resulted in higher engagement for the BlueChief Facebook page. I
also completed the week of the Instagram account management with high engagement
on the posts that I posted and a boost in followers.
The course in Griffith College had equipped me with relevant knowledge about
marketing which made my work experience in BlueChief run smoothly and I felt it
allowed me to get the most out of the work experience. The course in Griffith had gotten
me up to a certain level with digital marketing but the work experience in BlueChief
raised the bar up even higher. I feel confident that the course coupled with my work
experience will be enough to qualify me for a career in social media.
