HOW MAKE A WATER FILTER?

Water is essential for life. Humans can survive without food during a
week, but only 2 or 3 days without water. It's difficult found clean
water if you were into nature or in a emergence. There are many
situations where you need a water filter, that way purify the water,
save you from a sickness, or a problem in your body.

STEP 1:
Tools
The water filter do, runs on clean
water layers. If you plan to drink it,
you have to boil once have leaked.
Here you have a list of what you
need:
1. Plastic bottle with lid
2. Cutter
3. Hammer and Nail (optional)
4. Coffee filter
5. large cup (optional)
6. Activated carbon
7. Sand
8. Gravel
9. Water storage container (jar, cup, etc.)

STEP 2:
Use a knife to cut the plastic bottle
to about 2.54 cm (1 inch) from the
bottom.
Insert it into one side of the bottle
and starts to cut slowly.
Add a handle to hang the bottle
while you filter the water. To begin
with, drill two holes near the cut
edge. Place them face to face.
Spend a piece of string through the holes and secure with a knot.

STEP 3:

Use a hammer and nail to drill a hole

in the lid.
This hole will serve to slow the
passage of water and make the filter
more effective. If you do not have a
hammer or nail, use a knife to create
an X-shaped slit at the top of the
bottle.

STEP 4:

Place the coffee filter on top of the bottle

and use the cap to adjust. The coffee filter
serve to prevent the activated carbon is out
and remains inside the bottle. Ensure the
filter cover in place.

STEP 5:

Place the bottle with the tip down in a cup.

Thus, while the firm will remain full. If you do
not have a cup, you can place the bottle
upside down on a table, but you have to
hold it with one hand to keep it fixed.

STEP 6:

Fills three quarters of the bottom of the

bottle with activated charcoal. If coal comes
in large pieces, you have to break them into
smaller pieces. To do this, place them in a
and Hit them with a hard object (like a
hammer). The idea is that are no bigger
than a pea.
You can get dirty with coal, so you may need
to use gloves to keep your hands clean.

STEP 7:

bag

Fills the central portion of the bottle with

sand. You can use any type of sand you
want, but avoid colors that are used in
crafts, as this could stain the water. Try to
make the sand layer is as thick as coal.
When finished, your bottle should have a
little more than half full space.
Try using two types of sand: one of finegrained and coarse-grained another.
The finest sand will go first, on coal. Coarse sand will go up fine.
In this way, the water will go through additional layers and remain
cleaner.

STEP 8:

grandes. Las piedras ms pequeas va en
primer lugar, en la arena. Las piedras ms
grandes es por encima de todo
