Renaissance Learning Teacher Login and Setup

This guide has been made specifically for the Teachers of ECISD and contains directions for logging into Renaissance
Learning as a first time user and as a returning user. There are also directions for viewing Student Passwords and
accessing Reports and Classroom Preferences for the STAR and AR programs.
Accessing Renaissance Learning
1. For access to Renaissance Learning, go to the District web page, mouse over For Parents/Students and then
click on Renaissance Learning.

2. Click on Im a Teacher/Administrator.

3. USER NAME and PASSWORD: To log in use one of the following options.
a. Returning Teachers: Attempt to log in using last years user name and password or click Forgot Your
User Name or Password.
b. New Teachers: Log in using first.last for your user name and ecisd1 as your password.
c. Go to your Librarian Media Specialist and ask them to look up your user name and/or reset your
password.
Please attempt to log in following these instructions before contacting your Librarian Media Specialist.

4. Once you have successfully logged in Renaissance Learning will ask you to fill out the following information as a
new user. Please use your ECISD email address for the email notification as this account is only good while you
are and ECISD employee. You will only be asked to fill out this information the first time you log in.

Renaissance Learning Home Page

Once you are logged in you will be taken to the Renaissance Learning home page where you can access product and user
information.
Log Out, Help, Chat and Home
In the top right corner of Renaissance Learning you have four buttons to help you through the site.
1. Clicking on your name will allow you to Log Out of Renaissance Learning.
2. The question mark button will give you access to Help for that screen or Manuals for Renaissance Learning
products.
3. The headphone with mic icon will open a Chat window for assistance from Renaissance Learning support.
4. The house icon will return you to the Home screen of Renaissance Learning.

Users
5. To view student passwords or clear locked students click Users.

Student Passwords
6. To view the students in your class click View Students. Parent information will not be used for this year.

7. If you click Search you can view all students in your classes. If you need to filter the list you can pick from
Grade, Class, First Name, Last Name, ID and User Name. You should not need to filter by class unless you teach
multiple classes. Once the list has populated select the Passwords tab to view the student passwords.

STAR Reading and Accelerated Reader

8. To access Reports, Preferences and other options for the STAR Reading and Accelerated Reader programs click
on the appropriate icon from the Renaissance Learning home page. You will have more options than the
classroom teachers.

Please remember to always log out when you are finished using Renaissance Learning.
