SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS
2010

2007 2008

2004

Boyuan Sunite Coal Gasification, China National Chemical Engineering Group, Inner Mongolia
Successfully led a team of 4 Engineers to modify a philosophy from an air-blown system
to accommodate different plant configuration and equipment design pressures within an
aggressive timeframe.
Established an over-pressure protection philosophy for a new oxygen-blown gasifier,
which resulted in saving time in the completion of the Process and Instrumentation
Diagrams (P&IDS) and all associated documentation within the deadline.
Ras Tanura FEED/PMC Project, Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco
Project Management liaison between the client and various licensors for multiple
process envelopes, along with supervising PFD and heat and material balance
development.
Oversaw licensors deliverables and managed the change process, ensuring that the
client charged in line with contract scope.
Successfully delivered no additional financial burden charges to either the company or
the contractor.
Rose License, Basic Engineering Package (LBEP) Project, Grupa Lotos, Poland
Executed the completion of an LBEP in less than the industry standard timeframe.
Utilized a newly-developed in-house software tool which links simulation results and
automatically inputs them into equipment data sheets.
Achieved results showed an increase in productivity, a significant reduction in execution
time, and completion within the deadline.

2002 2003

ExxonMobil Low Sulfur Diesel Hydro-Treater Project, Chalmette, LA

Oversaw the connecting of a new plant to the main process area of diesel hydro-treater
and all associated off-sites with minimal documentation, resulting in an on-time and
under-budget project.
Partnered with staff at the client site over an extended period and successfully identified
all necessary documentation needed to resolve tie-in location issues.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
KELLOGG BROWN & ROOT, Houston, TX
2000 2016
Technical Professional Leader, Process
Spearheaded a team of engineering professionals on estimating, planning, and the executing of several
projects, including: ROSE, HCK, petrochemicals, coal gasification, FCC, aniline (Basic Engineering Design
(BED), and FEED packages). Provided expertise in process simulations, HAZOP review, calculations of
pressure relief loads for all overpressure contingencies, and finalizing flare load summaries.
Key Achievements
Received several honors on the ExxonMobil Low Sulfur Diesel Hydro-Treater project: Letter of
Recognition and Project Completion Bonus.
Presented with a Letter of Commendation for the Chalmette Refinery Hydro-Treater project.
TENGIZCHEROIL (CHEVRON), Kazakhstan
1998 2000
Senior Process Engineer
Accomplished numerous improvement and expansion projects for a gas separation and sweetening plant.
Utilized a PIPEPHASE simulator to evaluate onshore piping, complex gathering systems, and single pipelines.
PARSONS ENGINEERING LTD, Kuwait
1997 1998
Principle Process Engineer
Served as an expert on several process studies for the over-pressure protection of existing gas gathering
centers and as a contributor for seawater injection project.
M.W. KELLOGG CO., Houston, TX
1989 1997
Process and Process Systems Engineer
Delivered subject matter knowledge on numerous projects, including ammonia, urea, pharmaceuticals,
ethylene, and coal gasification.
Key Achievements
Received the Recognition Award for the Texaco PO/MTBE project.
HOOVER COLOR CORP., Hiwassee, VA
1987 1989
Quality Assurance Supervisor
Analyzed and eliminated bottlenecks in raw sienna ore pneumatic conveying network and established a
relationship between the quality of burnt sienna and kiln operation. In the color lab I supervised 3 people and
was responsible for following up with the statistical methods of quality control on daily basis.
INA CO., Kutina, Croatia
1982 1985
Plant Process Engineer in Carbon Black Plant
