Crane

Crane is material handling equipment.

Types of crane:
1. Jib crane
2. Mobile crane
3. O. h. crane or E.O.T. crane
E.O.T. crane (electrical overhead traveling crane):
E.O.T.
crane travels on a pair of gantry rails mounted on gantry girders,
which is turn are supported on columns on two sides of the bay. The crane
consists of bridge girders, end carriages, platforms, trolley assembly and long
travel drive machinery. Machineries for hoisting motion and trolley travel are
mounted on the trolley. The trolley moves on rails fixed on the top of bridge
girders.
Main parts of crane:
1. Long travel (bridge)
2. Cross travel (trolley)
3. Hoist travel (hoist)

1. Single motor drive crane
