 CORRELATION
Correlation analysis is the statistical tool we can use to describe the
degree to which one variable is linearly related to another.
Correlation can be used by itself, however to measure the degree of
association between two variables.
Statisticians have developed two measures for describing the
correlation between two variables: the coefficient of determination
and the coefficient of correlation.

The coefficient of correlation

• Summarizes in one figure

• The degree of correlation of and direction of correlation
between two variables denoted by r

-1 ≤ r ≤+1

Method used for calculation coefficient of correlation is known

as Karl’s Pearson coefficient correlation which is also called as
product moment coefficient correlation

Calculation of “r”
r = ∑xy/√(∑x²*y²)

Where,
∑x = ∑X² - (∑X)²/n
∑y = ∑Y² - (∑Y)²/n
∑xy = ∑XY - (∑X. ∑Y)/n
The coefficient of determination

The coefficient of determination is the primary way we can

measure the extent or strength, of the association that exists
between two variables, X and Y.

Coefficient of determination = r²
 OBJECTIVE
The objective of the live project is to find out the how many
hours students listen to the music and it’s affect on their exam
result. Through this project we can came to know while
listening to music how it would affect the student’s performance
in the examination.
