JUMBO is a systemic, chloro-nicotinyl insecticide with soil, seed and foliar uses for the
control of sucking insects including Rice hoppers, Aphids, Thrips, Termites, Turf
insects, Soil insects and some Beetles. JUMBO is widely used on Cotton, Rice, Chilli,
Sugarcane, Mango, Sunflower, Okra, Citrus and Groundnut, and is especially systemic
when used as a seed or soil treatment.

Trade Name: JUMBO

Common Name: Imidacloprid

Formulation: 17.8 % SL
Features

JUMBO is systemic insecticide containing active ingredient Imidacloprid, which

belongs to the new nitroguanidine group.

JUMBO is broad-spectrum insecticide, for use in a large number of crops for

controlling sucking and some soil pests.

JUMBO is acts as stomach and contact insecticide and has relatively long
lasting effect.

JUMBO is acts by interfering with transmission of nerve impulse in insects,

unlike organophosphorus compounds, carbamates and pyrethroids, which act
on nerve fiber membrane proteins.

JUMBO is with this new mode of action gives effective control of insect strains
which have developed resistance to traditionally used insecticides.

JUMBO is with this new action of mechanism is ideally suited for rotation with
other insecticides in plant protection schedule sequence.

JUMBO is highly effective against sucking pests like aphids, jassids and thrips.

JUMBO is of low toxicity with minimum impact on environment and an ideal

insecticide for use under Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.

Mode of Action
JUMBO works by interfering with the transmission of stimuli in the insect nervous
system. Specifically, it causes blockage in a type of neuronal pathway (nicotinergic)
that is more abundant in insects than in warm-blooded animals (making the chemical
selectively more toxic to insects than warm-blooded animals). This blockage leads to
the accumulation of acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter, resulting in the
paralysis and eventual death of the insect pests.

Kills insects on lower and upper surface of leaves due to trans-laminar

penetrating action.

Excellent control of Heliothis/other bollworms.

Effective against whitefly, mites and other sucking insect pests.

Economical to use with much higher yields.

More suitable for IPM programmes.

Mode of Action
CARINA with unique mode of action has superior advantages over several other
products. As a member of the organophosphate family of insecticides, CARINA works
by potent inhibition of the enzyme acetyl cholinesterase, which is essential for the
transmission of impulses between nerve cells. After feeding on a CARINA treated
plant or crawling over a treated leaf, the pest is first paralyzed and then quickly dies.
Application
It can be applied by both high volume and low volume spray equipment. Water
dilution depends on the type of sprayer to be used, crop stage and intensity of pest
infestation. It is desirable to calibrate beforehand to estimate the quantity of water
needed for preparation of solution. Prepare homogeneous solution by agitating with
stick. Always spray in the direction of wind and apply uniformly with complete

coverage. Interval between two sprays should be 10 to 15 days. No undesirable

residues are noticed in different plant parts if used as directed.

SIMBAA is a highly effective acaricide, widely used across the

globe for past few decades. Propargite, the active ingredient of
SIMBAA, belongs to a new group of chemical sulfite ester.

Trade Name: SIMBAA

Common Name: Propargite
Formulation: 57% EC
Features

SIMBAA belongs to a new chemistry group which has proven to be safe in use.

SIMBAA acts primarily by direct contact, residual contact and vapor action,
controlling all stages of mites.

SIMBAA is very effective on all harmful mites such as Red spider mite, Two
spotted mites, European red mite and Yellow/White mite.

SIMBAA also controls motile stages of mites.

SIMBAA gives longer protection.

SIMBAA unlike other acaricides does not lose efficacy at higher temperatures.

Mode of Action

SIMBAA acts by direct contact, residual contact and vapour action in dense
crop canopy.

SIMBAA interferes with the key mite enzyme systems, which causes
interruption of normal. metabolism, respiration and electron transport
functions in the nervous system of mites.

SIMBAA kills the nymphs as they emerge from eggs, laid before the spray.

Female mites stop laying eggs immediately after coming in contact.

Application
Use 1 to 1.5 litres of SIMBAA per hectare (400 to 600 ml per acre) for field crops. 400
- 600 litres of water with high volume sprayer and 200 - 300 litres of water with low
volume sprayer per hectare should be used for effective coverage of entire crop
canopy. For plantation crops use 0.75-1.25 l of SIMBAA per hectare. Thorough
coverage of entire infested crop canopy is very essential for best results.

MELSA is a post emergence herbicide which provides effective integrated weed

management in Wheat crop. MELSA effectively controls Phalaris minor and Avena
spp. MELSA is currently the most effective solution for the management of grass

weeds in Wheat.
Trade Name: MELSA
Common Name: Pinoxaden
Formulation: 5.1% EC
Features

Post emergent, systemic herbicide

Built in adjuvant for faster absorption in weeds.

Superior performance across a broad spectrum of grass weeds

Excellent control of Phalaris minor and Avena spp.

Safe for Wheat crop and sequential crops

Mode of Action
Pinoxaden represents a unique new structure of s new chemical class. After uptake,
Pinoxaden interferes with the lipid metabolism in plant cells. The herbicide acts by
inhibiting the enzyme Acetyl-CoA-Carboxylase, interrupting the synthesis of fatty
acids and as a final consequence impacts the formation of biomembranes.
Method of application:
The herbicide is recommended to be applied using a knapsack sprayer fitted with a
flat fan or a deflector nozzle. Apply the herbicide with the recommended quantity of
water to ensure thorough coverage of the weed foliage.

is over. Avoid contamination of air and water bodies with the herbicide. Also
wash the contaminated clothes.

The repeated use of any herbicide or herbicide with the same mode of action
could lead to selection of resistant weeds. Certain agronomic practises may
reduce the likelihood that resistant weeds will arise. In fields where resistant
weeds are suspected, integrate strategies that are available to manage such
population.
