Introduction

The following Level 1, Fitness-For-Service assessment was carried out on A Plant, ABC-1234, LP S
Reference: CML-01, in accordance with API 579-1, Part 5, for Type 'A' pressurized components su
metal loss resulting from internal corrosion, using the methods outlined in API 579-2, 5.1, to dete

Inspection Data

The thickness data and the grid used for inspection are shown below. The grid spacing set by the
Equipment Inspector is, 1.0 inches in the circumferential direction, and 0.5 inches in the longitud
based on the corrosion profile. The localized corrosion is located away from all weld seams.

The distance from the region of local metal loss to the nearest structural discontinuity is 60 inche
of local metal loss with a smaller amount of metal loss is located 16 inches from the region show
