3F Homework Week 7

Term 3 Week 7

Congratulations on such a fantastic camp! I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as
we did!
Dont forget our class weebly http://3fglenbrook.weebly.com/
Check out the weebly for new maths games and videos on fractions, multiplication,
addition and subtraction.

Spelling Write out your list of words neatly in your books. Get someone to test you each
day. We have a new spelling menu this term. Choose an item to complete each night
from the spelling menu. You will need to reach 7 points each week Remember you cant
use the same activity twice in one week.

Public Speaking Choose a passage from your favourite book or choose your favourite
poem. Practice this a few times as you are going to be reading this with expression to the
class. Our public speaking / oral reading competition is on in week 9 so this is fantastic
experience. (You dont have to enter the competition, but you do have to do your
homework!)

Maths: Times tables drills to do at home. Practice these each night so you can really learn
these. Try some of the games we have set on the weebly for you.
Word Problems: As we move through primary school, maths becomes more about the
word problems than just solving numbers. Try to complete the word problems on the next
page. Look for key words that will tell you the operation. (how many, difference, etc.)

and 14 players in the U13, how many medals were needed for the grand finals? Winners
also received a $5 yoghurt land voucher each. If the team combined their vouchers, how
much would they have to spend at yoghurt land?
