Typing
(a)

The paper must be printed on good quality A4 paper. This is to ensure clear
copies. Typing must be double-spaced, justified and on one side of the paper only.

(b)

Except on the title page fonts should be 12 points (Times New Roman).

(c)

Footnotes and block quotations should use 10 point font.

(d)

First line of each paragraph should be intended five spaces (5 / 1.25cm).

(e)

References list should be single-spaced and use hanging indent (first line at
margin and subsequent lines indented five spaces, check reference examples
above).

(f)

A page header in 10-point Times New Roman italicized with less than 50
characters should appear in the upper right corner on every page of the paper,
except on the cover and title pages. Insert three spaces between the title and the
page. See example below

Pagination
(a)

Paginate the preliminaries (portions preceding the introduction) in lower case


Roman numerals ("i", "ii", "iii", etc.) beginning with the ABSTRACT page.

(b)

Number the pages of the body of the thesis in Arabic numerals ("1", "2",
"3", etc) consecutively throughout.

(c)

The page numbers should appear at the bottom centre of the page.

1.1 Background

The number of required pages should be 20 30 pages. Required pages are


counted from the beginning of the introductory chapter through the end of the
concluding chapter.
