Sir M Visvesvaraya is one of the towering personalities in the history of Indian Engineering who has
voiced engineering aspirations with dignitary and self expression. His masterful expositions and
achievements are monumental, verify outreaching natural frontiers. Any attempt to delineate his
personality in its variegated aspects can only be too unequal, however well begun, to reach totality.
Nevertheless, this publication is a modest demonstration of a sense of gratitude and reverential esteem by
the engineers of our country to the name of Sir MV.
