Work study student position in Colorado State Universitys campus medical center. I cleaned
and sterilized medical equipment (including scissors, suture removal sets, blade handles,
colposcopy sets, speculums, sterile bowls and basins, sterile water bottles) which utilized
an autoclave machine; restocked the health care providers and nurses exam rooms;
organized, stocked and kept inventory of the supply room which held all the medical
equipment used by the clinic
HERITAGE CLUB DENVER -- BROOKDALE SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITY
September 2013 November 2014

Full-time position as receptionist at the front desk and part-time as a Certified Nurse Aide
within Brookdales Personalized Living program. Heritage Club is an independent and
assisted living community of over 230+ residents aged 62 years and older.

As a receptionist my responsibilities included: writing detailed daily reports regarding all


residents who were currently in the hospital or in rehab; providing customer service via the
telephone and in person; keeping track of all delivered prescriptions and packages; being
the first responder to emergencies, call lights and emergency pull-cords; sorting and filing
of papers; writing and formatting Face Sheets containing residents personal and medical
information.
As a CNA my responsibilities included: helping residents with toileting, bathing/showers,
catheter care, meal prep, lift assistance, ambulation, bed positioning, prescription
distribution, ted hose, companionship and light housekeeping.

I was recognized twice with bonus gift certificates for my flexibility and willingness to
perform tasks which included marketing calls to over 200 recipients as well as sorting and
filing hundreds of PTO and request-time-off forms for the HR department.

DENVER ARTHRITIS CLINIC


November 2014 July 2015

Receptionist position at the front desk for the largest arthritis clinic in the Midwest that
included 11 rheumatologists and one Physicians Assistant who served over 1,500 patients
per week and has three separate offices in the Denver Metro area.

My responsibilities included: checking in patients for their appointments (which included


verifying insurance information as well as financial standing with our clinic before letting
them through); setting up new appointments for patients (having to regard the doctors
recommended time allotment, spatial agreement between appointments, purpose of
appointment, and insurance and financial standing of patient); receiving calls for the clinic
in all manors and transferring to the correct department; setting up new patients which
included verifying insurance, collecting current medical records, setting patient up with the
online Patient Portal system; being the scheduling coordinator directly for three of the
eleven providers (keeping track of the providers waiting list, their patients and each
patients unique needs, making sure their new patients had everything necessary to begin
their first medical evaluation, the tentative daily schedule that was unique to each provider,
and making calls to the patients if the schedule changed).

For any and all gaps within my employment status on this resume I have worked as a
babysitter and/or nanny since I was 16, during and in-between each job. As a child care
provider I was entrusted by parents and guardians to supervise and provide activities for
children (of all ages ranging from a few months to early teens); provide transportation to
and from activities and sporting events; homework help and tutoring.
As a nanny I assisted families in household projects including cleaning, organizing rooms
and closets, grocery shopping and meal preparation; and have provided house and pet
sitting services while families are away for extended periods of time.
