Requirements for registering a business:

1. SINGLE PROPRIETORSHIP
Certificate of Business Name Registration from the Department of Trade and
Industry (DTI)
Barangay Clearance
Mayors Business Permit
Business Tax Identification Number (TIN) from the Bureau of Internal Revenue
(BIR)
Fill out an application form for a Certificate of Authority to Print Receipts and
Invoices
SSS, Phil Health from the Philippine Health Insurance System (PHIS), and Home
Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) for registering yourself or company
as an employer and for remitting your employees contribution together with your
employers share.

2. PARTNERSHIP (GENERAL / LIMITED)


SEC Registration
Partnerships are recorded with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). The
following requirements must be submitted with the SEC:

Name Verification Slip with the reservation of the partnership name


Articles of Partnership
Registration Data Sheet
Written joint of a partner undertaking to change partnership name
Certificate of Bank Deposit
If it is a limited partnership, the word limited or Ltd should be added to the
name. Articles of partnership of limited partnership should be under oath only and
not acknowledged before a notary public

DTI registration for registering your Business Trade Name (BTR)


Barangay Clearance
Mayors Business Permit for getting the license to operate in the city or
municipality and payment of your local business taxes.
BIR Certificate of Registration for getting TIN, official receipts and invoices,
registering your books of accounts, and paying your national internal revenue
taxes (Income tax, VAT or Percentage Tax, Withholding Taxes, etc.)
SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-Ibig Fund registration for registering yourself or
company as an employer and for remitting your employees contribution together
with your employers share.

Games and Amusement Board (GAB) for Professional boxing
Philippine Charity Sweeptakes Office (PCSO) for operation of games of chance
(e.g. lotto)
Department of Education (DepEd) for educational institution elementary to
high school
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for educational institution college
or tertiary course
Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for educational institution
technical or vocational course
Department of Energy (DOE) for electric power plants
Department of Health (DOH) for hospitals
Insurance Commission (IC) for insurance
Land Transportation Franchise Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for land transport
Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for water transport, construction and
building of vessels
National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) for operation of radio,
television and telephone
Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) for recruitment of
overseas employment
