LARGE HAMMERMASTER

A Product of Hard Work

High efficiency
breakers for
your machine

Your Heavyline machine is built for hard work. But with a

JCBHammermaster fitted, it can work even harder for you.
The Heavyline Hammermaster is a high-impact, energy efficient
breaker that is durable and robust, with smooth operation for
optimum performance and operator comfort. And, because we
carefully match them to JCB carrier machines, you get optimum
performance and output.
The robust construction and simple design with few moving parts
also means that the breakers are hard-wearing and easy to maintain
with low service costs. Theyre the perfect choice for arduous
environments and the hire market*. Compatible with most
competitor machines, JCB Heavyline Hammermasters offer
exceptional features: long piston stroke provides high impact whilst
maintaining smooth operation; and sound insulation is standard,
enhancing operator comfort as well as being environmentally
friendly. Every JCB Heavyline Hammermaster in this range comes
with a choice of tool and everything you need to get going.
Plus theres a full range of machine installation kits to suit JCB
machines. It all makes for harder, faster working, with added
versatility and reliability, and above all, low operating costs from
high fuel efficiency and low maintenance demand.
* Always consult your JCBDealer for advice on suitable applications.

Highest productivity.
The internal control valve and clever design ensures maximum
conversion of hydraulic power into impact power, boosting
performance, minimising heat generation and saving fuel.

04

Tough construction.
The substantial steel housing is designed for optimum strength
without excess weight.
Quiet operation.
Heavy-duty elastic suspension blocks between the power
cell and the housing ensure exceptionally quiet operation,
benefitting the operator, minimising environmental impact
and reducing vibration stresses on the machine.
Energyboost.
Recoil energy from the tool is re-cycled to boost the energy
of the next impact to extract maximum performance from
the breaker.
Long, heavy piston.
Piston and tool combination optimised for maximum transfer
of impact energy.

AutoStop.
Reduces blank firing, protecting the breaker and reducing
wear. Especially effective when operating in poor visibility,
such as underwater work.

08

AutoGrease.
Automatically ensures the tool bushes receive sufficient grease
for efficient operation and minimum wear, giving maximum
protection to your investment.

09

Double tool retainers.

Extend tool and bush life.

10

Dust wiper.
Keeps damaging dust out, and lubricating grease in.

11

Single-piece cylinder.
The replaceable cylinder sleeve means lower maintenance
costs.

12

Ventilation port.
Active percussion chamber ventilation with a one-way valve
protects against damaging grease and dust getting into the
hydraulic circuit, and prevents grease getting onto percussion
surfaces.

LARGE HAMMERMASTER | PERFORMANCE

JCB AUTOGREASE system

To ensure continuous, hard-hitting performance, all JCB Heavyline

Hammermasters are supplied with a choice of moil or chisel tool as
standard. Blunts, moils and chisels are also available for aftermarket
purchase, to provide increased versatility and reduced downtime.

Your JCB Hammermaster is a powerful and productive piece of

equipment, but for peak performance it requires regular greasing.
The JCB Autogrease system is fitted as standard on all
Heavyline breakers from the HM870Q upwards. It works by
automatically supplying a set quantity of grease (which can easily
be adjusted to suit working conditions) to the top and bottom tool
bush every time the breaker is activated. This ensures the breaker
tool consistently operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Re-gassing kit is supplied as standard with every breaker.

This means the operator has all they need to maintain the optimum
breaker performance.
The bush wear tool offers an easy checking system for
the operator to ensure that the breaker is within tolerance and not
causing costly internal damage and reducing breaking performance.

Most other breaker grease systems are dependent on the host

machine featuring automatic greasing or the operator manually
applying grease. But because the JCB Autogrease system is
attached direct to the breaker housing, you can rely on the breaker
always being correctly greased, regardless of the host machine.
The JCB system also features special clear cartridges that allow
the operator to monitor the amount of grease left in the cartridge
from within the cab. When theyre running low, theyre easily
changed without the need for tools, and of course, replacement
cartridges are quickly and conveniently available worldwide from
the JCB dealer network.

Air line port enables easy connection to a compressor

allowing the breaker to be used in underwater applications.
This stops water ingress and damage to the unit which can result
in expensive repairs.
The AUTOSTOP feature prevents the breaker from being
operated without pressure on the tool. This eliminates damage
to the breaker caused by operator misuse/abuse or poor visibility
applications, such as trenching and underwater work.

Installation kit

The specially designed cartridges screw into the AUTOGREASE

system that is fitted to the breaker housing. The AUTOGREASE
system only accepts the AUTOGREASE cartridges.
Extreme and special hammer grease cartridges are not compatible.

Air line port

Installation kits; the majority of JCB machines

are supplied with breaker pipework already fitted enabling
JCBHammermaster breakers to be easily attached. A full range of
comprehensive, genuine JCBinstallation kits is also available from
the JCBdealer network for fitment to both new and old machines
without the correct pipework. These custom-designed, structured
kits provide the complete solution, including easy-to-use fitting
instructions, high quality components and hose routings designed
to eliminate abrasive wear.
