The advantage of teaching astrology can be outweighed by a great disadvantage also if the knowledge is misused and instead of honest guidance, it becomes a source of
exploitation and, the emphasis is on upayas or pariharams as south Indian call it.
Inspite of that danger, the great advantage has been that racketeers get exposed and in course of time they will be dragged to consumer courts. That will take time and the
first to be punished will be the crooks who talk of the non existent Kaal Sarpa Yoga and next the other upachayacharyas.
I am bringing out a book in Hindi with an excellent compilation of more than forty excellent predictions given by students who passed from the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan,
New Delhi, over a period of many years and have been giving amazingly excellent predictions to many people, some friends and even their family members. The decision
for the book to be in Hindi is dictated by the fact that next to south India, it is the Hindi speaking area which is the fertile ground for the gullible victims of crooked
astrologers particulaly Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.
I make it clear to many people including students that three types of fools get misled by an astrologers claims.
Fools galore consulting astrologers
The first is the fool who calls himself a scientist, never studies astrology but attacks it particularly if he gets a chance to participate in a televison debate conducted by a
stupid anchor, mostly a woman. The trend continues inspite of all these scientists and rationalists patronised by a well known journalist since 1996 when the government
run Doordarshan carried his irrational presentation, having lost their case against astrology in three courts in India, first Madras, then Hyderabad and finally in the
Supreme Court of India where I was the only astrologer to demolish all their arguments. In the Supreme Court the case was heard on merit and we have buried these
critics deep in a grave now. But the television stupidity continues.
The second is the fool who thinks that the moment an astrologer looks at your horoscopes, he sees everything about you, the past, present and the future and can reel
off correct predictions about anything and everything.
The third fool, very large in numbers and mostly women and businessmen fall into this category, thinks that the astrologer can change your fate through upayas or
pariharas.
Taught in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan
Some honest and brilliant students of astrology who studied astrology in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan have been predicting and guiding brilliantly, remain unpublicised
because they are non professionals and are busy with their jobs or business. I have more than five hundred such instances with me now and am happy that the expected
revival of astrology is slow but brilliant and scientific.
