The Components:
The garment has the following components (panels, trims):
Front:

Bodice centre panel


Bodice right panel
Bodice left panel
Bottom skirt panel

Back:

Bodice panel
Bottom skirt panel

Other:

Cowl neck
Hem panel
2 sleeves

Trims:

1 brand label (woven), attached on centre of neckline


1 size label (woven), attached on left of the brand label.
1 care label (printed), attached on left side seam 5 cm above hem
panel.
2 elastic tapes attached on shoulder seams.

Operational Breakdown:
1. Pleats made on front centre bodice panel using lockstitch (301).
2. Stitching of darts present on front left, front right and back bodice
panels using lockstitch.
3. Attachment of the 3 front bodice panels (centre, right and left) using
4-thread over lock (512 stitch class, superimposed seam).
4. Attachment of shoulders of front and back along with elastic tape
using 4-thread over lock (superimposed seam).
5. Stitching of cowl neck panel to form a loop using 4- thread over lock
(superimposed seam).
6. Stitching of cowl neck panel to the neckline using 4-thread over lock
(superimposed seam).
7. Attachment of brand and size label to the neckline using lockstitch.
8. Attachment of sleeves using 4-thread over lock (superimposed
seam).
9. Attachment of front and back skirt panels to the respective bodice
panels using lockstitch first and then 4-thread over lock
(superimposed-over lock seam).
10.
3-thread flat lock for finishing of sleeve ends.
11.
Attachment of side seam along with wash care label using 4thread over lock (superimposed seam).
12.
Stitching of 2 sides of hem panel using 4-thread over lock
(super imposed seam).
13.
Stitching of hem panel to the skirt hem using 4-thread over
lock.
14.
3 thread flat lock on attachment of hem panel and skirts
bottom hem.

Types of stitched involved:

4-thread over lock (stitch class 512).


Single needle lockstitch (stitch class 301).
3 thread flat lock (stitch class 406).

Types of seams involved:

Superimposed seam

Superimposed over lock seam

The Trims Used:


1. Brand and Size Label

Woven labels.
Brand label attached in alignment with centre of neckline at the
back bodice-cowl neck panel seam.
Size label attached to its left side (no space left between the two).
Attached using lockstitch.

2. Wash Care Label

Printed taffeta label.


Attached of left side seam 5 cm above the hem panel seam.
Attached using 4-thread over lock along with side seam.

3. 2 Elastic Tapes

Transparent Elastic Tape.


Used for preventing drooping of shoulders/shape deformation
after washing.
Attached of shoulder seams.
Attached using 4-thread over lock while attaching shoulder
seam.
