BREXIT

Brexit is a term used for Great Britains learning the European Union (EU). It
is a referendum for the British person that offers them to note whether to leave or
stay in EU. This very idea surfaces of EUs learning is a product of Britains political
campaign which is debated by the pro-staying group and the con-staying. The
reason why this referendum was made is because of the widespread discontentment
of the majority of British people to EU. On February 2016, David Cameron, said that
the people as a part of his campaign to hear the citizens voice that wants to be out
from EU. There are many reasons why it got to the point; some of the reason is that
they want to have a political sovereignty because they longed the ability to make and
follow their own law, financial aspects are included and the issue about migrants and
immigrants. They also want to have more control to their borders; they want to
control the numbers of immigrants that could enter their country. These are some of
the factors that lead the UK to decide from departing EU.
The European Union is a political and economic partnership that represents
cooperation among the 28 member states namely:

In this day, British are already out in the EU, a lot of questions before and after brexit
left arises,if it would give positive benefits or the worst case is if it would turn into a huge
economic disaster. Leaving EU would somehow make them independent and they would not
be affected whenever other country in EU messed up, but they can established a new
business relations with other countries as much as they want. On the other hand, they may
lose the trading relationship with EU but if they can manage to retain the good economic
relationship with EU they might have a huge chance of regaining their healthy economic
status. But given these conditions even if they can have a good economic relationship with
EU still they cant escape the loss on their GDP. Today, UKs economy is shaken as it was
expected; pound has dropped to a percent that in the last years have not been into. The
number of jobless individuals in Britain will surely increase, people of different level whether
theyre poor, middle class or rich will be affected by it.
David Cameron announced that he will step-down from his position as the Prime
Minister and many other politicians who were behind from the idea of leaving EU does not
even want to step in and lead to where their decisions has brought them. Even these days
time can only tell how the short term and long term effects of Brexit to UKs major issues
and challenge will be felt to this present times.

The effects of Brexit is really not that clear for now, the changes in their economy
and other benefits from leaving EU has caused them so much that it affects their ability to
provide the demand as well as the needs of the British people. Even the Filipinos who lived
in UK will be affected as well on how they will find job or how to provide the day to day
needs, surely it will be much harder.
There will probably be a job cuts, the availability of job positions will lessen,
especially if the jobs are related to EU. British people will more likely to suffer with these
changes and be forced to work outside Britain and this time it wont be that easy. Filipinos
will have more difficulties to become a UK citizen and overseas Filipino workers wont break
through that easy to the new laws and rules to work in UK because it is obvious that the
British people must be their first priority. This what makes UK much harder to penetrate in
terms of finding a work in their state.
Filipinos who lived in UK will directly be affected and some overseas Filipino workers,
but when it comes to Philippines economic status, experts said that we wont be affected.
UK for the past years were not one of the top export destinations of Philippines until now,
thus we only have a not so big amount of trade to them. But that doesnt mean that it wont
have any minor impact, it may just affect the OFW revenue if pound will decrease its value,
however economist believe that this effects will be just temporary and Philippines has way
more option for the matter. Until this day no one exactly knows to what extent all these can
affect the Philippines. As to our economy and government relations to Europe countries it
will be different this time says Sec. Ben Diokno. It will only mean to us that Philippines will
now have to deal with two entities in Europe. For us Filipinos our problems are mostly
internal economic issues, and does not dwell on externals. To hear the statements of sec.
Ben Diokno about this matter that we wont be affected that much ensures the continuing
progress of Philippines even if UK left EU.
