Course Description :

This course deals with the study of the basic principles of nutrition which includes the role of
nutrients in the maintenance of normal health and nutrition in the life cycle. It also covers the
application of these principles in all age groups and for diet modification during illness. It also
focuses in the therapeutic and food service aspects of the delivery of nutritional services in
hospitals and other healthcare institutions.
