1. Introduction
M/s Punj Lloyd Ltd. Company is currently bidding for EPC of Project- PALANPUR
TO PALI SECTION OF MEHSANA-BHATINDA GAS PIPELINE (MBPL) PROJECT
(PHASE-1).
M/s GSPL India Gasnet Limited (GIGL) has planned to implement an approx. 1637
km long natural gas pipeline network project that includes 838 km long mainline for
transportation & distribution of natural gas from Palanpur (Gujarat) to Bhatinda (Punjab)
and spur lines of various sizes (approx. 799 km long) are envisaged to cater industrial
and localized demand.
The pipeline en route shall be connected with Spur lines for supply of natural gas at
various locations of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab state. This pipeline would
receive natural gas from GSPCs existing gas pipeline at Palanpur or through
interconnectivity from other sources.
The proposed pipeline under Mehsana Bhatinda Pipeline Project (Phase-1) from
Palanpur, Gujarat to Lunawa, Pali (Rajasthan), shall comprise of mainline section
of 30 OD of approx. 160 km.
Under Phase-1, the pipelines and associated facilities have been indicated above. The
project under Phase-1 broadly covers the following key installation:

The trunk pipeline (natural gas) from SV location at Palanpur (Gujarat) to

Lunawa, Pali (Rajasthan) comprising of 30 inch, 159.065Kms,
(Gujarat) Lunawa, to Pali (Rajasthan).

2. General Notes
2.1. This Material Requisition is issued for obtaining suppliers budgetary quotation for the
following:
MANUFACTURING, INSPECTION, TESTING AND SUPPLY OF PIPELINE BALL
VALVES (GOV/HOV) FOR GAS PIPELINE AS MENTIONED IN SCOPE OF SUPPLY
SECTION 3

2.2. Design, materials, manufacturing, examination, testing, inspection and documentation

shall conform to the applicable project documents, codes and standards listed in
Section 4.0 (List of Applicable Documents).
2.3. Where no code or standard is specified in the project specifications and other reference
documents, the supplier shall propose applicable codes and / or standards on
which the supplier's design and manufacturing is based, for review and approval
by the purchaser
2.4.

In case of any conflict between these documents, the supplier shall notify the
purchaser and obtain a written clarification of the points in question. The
decision of the purchaser shall be final.

2.5. Supplier shall separate price list for any special tools and tackles, which are
recommended for regular operation and maintenance
2.6. Supplier shall separate price list for the commissioning spares, which are recommended
for the purpose of commissioning.
2.7. The scope of supply should be in full compliance with all the requirements stated in this
requisition. No deviation from and / or alternative to this requisition shall be
permitted, except for those deviations and / or alternatives listed in the suppliers
quotation and accepted in writing by the purchaser.
2.8. If the Supplier intends any deviation from and / or alternative to this requisition, the
Supplier shall submit a deviation and / or alternative list giving detailed
comparison between the project requirements and the suppliers
recommendations.
2.9. Supplier shall be responsible for any discrepancies, errors or omissions in the
drawings / documents prepared by supplier, even if these have been approved /
reviewed by the purchaser. Review of suppliers documents by Purchaser does
not relieve the supplier of his responsibility for correctness of design and supply.
If any such errors or omissions are discovered later, the same shall be made
good, by Supplier, at his sole expense.
2.10.

All documents, drawings, manuals, reports and written instructions shall be in

the English language. Metric System units shall be used, unless otherwise
specified.

2.11.

The Supplier shall carry out pre-shipment protection and preservation of

equipment and materials as per suppliers standard, unless otherwise specified.

2.12.

Supplier shall clearly describe how the equipment and materials are to be
transported and shall submit a preliminary shipping / packing list indicating
number and estimated size of package.

2.13.
