The study of this project is conducted at a leading

Limited, situated at the city of Lakes Udaipur. The company
Lipi Data Systems Ltd. belongs to a well-known industrial
group dealing in specialized IT products like all sorts of
computer Printers, & Banking automation products like ATM,
Kiosk, BNA, Passbook printers. Etc
The company is engaged in the manufacturing of a wide
range of Heavy Duty High Speed Line Matrix, Dot Matrix &
Passbook Printers, ATM & Kiosk and marketing of the same
along with other Computer Peripherals which includes High
speed and Dot Matrix Printers, Smart Card printers, Laser
printers, Thermal printers, , Spares & Consumables for entire
range of printers (e.g. Ribbon, Cartridges etc.) to cater the
specific needs of Indian Market.
Lipi Data Systems Limited came into existence in October
1986, when it commenced the production of Line Printers
under technical collaboration with Data Products Corporation
of U.S.A., the world leader in high-speed computer printers
Under technology license from Data products USA, Lipi has
served this nation by producing Heavy Duty Line Printers of
Model B-series (i.e. B300, B600, B1000 models), while it
sustained monopoly in the Asian market as being the sole
manufacturer of Line Matrix Printers. The life cycle of BSeries Printers has now been over after successfully running
in the Indian market for eight consecutive years.
Lipi printers have also achieved global acceptance, while it
successfully accomplished three years contract with Data
Products Corp, USA to manufacture mass volume of LBSeries Computer Printers with LB300, LB600, and LB1000

models. These printers were exported all around the globe to

several customers in Australia, France, Germany, U.K.,
Ireland etc.
Today Lipi is operating from three modern manufacturing
sites situated at Lake City Udaipur in Rajasthan , Electronics
Zone, Navi Mumbai, & Baddi in Himachal. Their state of the
art manufacturing facility at Udaipur includes Sheet Metal
Fabrication, Surface Treatments, PCB Assembly, Cable
Assembly, Electromechanical Assembly and Test Facility.
These facilities are well supported by backend quality
processes and ERP.
The state of art Sheet metal fabrication and surface
treatment line at Udaipur plant can cater to CNC laser
cutting of sheet thickness up to 16 mm, CNC punching and
bending, surface pre-treatment plant (9-Tank Process), Spray
Paint and Powder coating plants for final surface finish.
The company is backed by work force of around 800
personnel employed at its works and around 100+ service
centers across the country. Lipi has its head office located at
Mumbai and Sales & Service centers in over 130 cities across
country.

Product Range of Lipi:

The manufacturing range of Lipis product comprises full
range of 6800 series line matrix printers, and high speed Dot
Matrix printer of various models of high speed laser printers.
The product range is distinctly elaborated below:
Line Matrix Computer Printers: Following different
models of high-speed line matrix & dot matrix printers of
6800 series are manufactured at Lipi. All these models have
built in bar code printing facility, with varied fonts in
different print mode, and also capable of printing in Hindi
and other Indian scripts as well. The structure of all these
models is electro-mechanical in nature and they are

manufactured as a result of pursuing assembly type of

operations.
6805 Printers: This Line Printer is capable of printing at the
speed of 500 lines per minute in draft mode. Paper handling
is done with two tractors.
6810 Printers: This printer is capable of printing at the
speed of 1000 lines in draft mode. Paper handling is done
with two tractors.
6815 Printers: This printer is capable of printing at the
speed of 1500 lines in draft mode. Paper handling is done
with four tractors.
High Speed Dot Matrix Printers - Lipis High Speed Dot
Matrix Printers are known for breakthrough performance and

ABOUT T-6306 LINE PRINTER

The T-6306 printer is designed for high workload application, suited to
almost any computer environment. In most shared resources environment
the T-6306 capability to undertake almost any task whether it is a fast
printing applications corresponding quality mail shots, high dot resolution
graphics Bar code capability or large character printing.
The T-6306 is supplied as a free standing fully fettered printer. This printer
makes noise less than 55db thus making it acceptable in any office
environment.
Four independently adjustable pin feed tractors provided extremely accurate
character placement. The dual shared interface [RS-232 and PARALLEL]
allow connection to two computers and printing from either from without
operators interventions. The wide range of emulations ensured software
compatibility with main frames to PCs
A versatile 16-character LCD control panel provides easy access to all
printers function.

The auto ranging universal power supply enables the T-6306 to be operated
with virtually any input power and voltage supply. It also enables theT-6306
to continue to print through fluctuation that could cause dther printers to fail.

Certain area of the menu contains calibrations and alignment process that are
collectively termed Technical access.
These Technical Access areas are hidden from the operator and do not
normally appear either on the front panel or in the front panel selections
printouts.

Cooling system:
The cooling system are essentially comprised of two sub system:
Fan assembly
Plenum the plenum distributes airflow from the cooling and to the
hammer bank

Ribbon system:
The ribbon system is comprised of the following sub assemblies. In this the
ribbon shield prevents the ribbon from rubbing & smearing on the paper. It
also serves to keep dirt out of the hammer bank area.
