filtrado digital)

filtro pasabaja (ms pronunciado conserva ms
ancho banda)
ADCs tradicionales
filtro analgico previo digitalizacin
Butterworth orden 8 con c=Ny/2
(-3 dB)
ms n c ms alto ~ func. rectng.
fcil diseo, corte suficientemente fuerte y limpio
buena opcin: atenuacin fuerte > 50-60 Hz (slo
ruido elctrico y similar, salvo exploracin)
inconveniente filtros analgicos: gran desplazamiento
fase, debe corregirse
Filtrado anti-aliasing
ADCs con sobremuestreo
filtro digital (tras digitalizacin) y previo a remuestreo
filtros digitales: - limitados que analgicos (clculo convolucin)
transicin ms pronunciada
no desplazan fase
uso FIR (impulse response filter)
siempre estable

PARMETROS MS
IMPORTANTES DE UN ADC
Precisin: Vsalida - Ventrada (medida todas fuentes error)

seal medida X(w). La respuesta del instrumento es T(w)
Para U(w) generalmente usan
- funcin impulso
- funcin rampa
- funcin escaln
- funcin caja

Figure 11.5 Impulse response functions for four different vertical-component instruments,
showing the seismograph response to a delta-function input at zero time. The frequency
response of these intruments is plotted in Figure 11.4.
The instrument response can be defined in terms of the relationship between the
digital counts in the recorded time series and the actual Earth motion. The gain of

CHAPTER 6
Thus in theory, we can recover the ground displacement at any frequency knowing the
instrument response. In practice, one has to be careful to only do this in the frequency
band where the instrument record real ground motion and not just electronic noise, since
the instrument correction then become unstable and the output has nothing to do with
the real seismic signal. Figure 6.9 shows an example.
Figure 6.9 Instrument correction in different filter bands. The top trace is the original recording of a
small earthquake with a 1 Hz seismometer. The 3 bottom traces have been converted to
displacement with different filters. The amplitudes to the right are maximum amplitudes.
The figure shows the influence of filtering, when estimating the ground displacement
signal. In the frequency band 1 to 10 Hz, the signal looks very much like the original
