WET CORES
Wet cores are places;

where people perform activities of

eating (cooking) kitchen
cleaning bathroom
getting rid of body waste WC

where unwanted smell, moisture, noise, heat,

waste are created

where the hygenic conditions can not be kept

under a certain minimum.

WET CORES
are subject to continuous technological change
and have an important part in construction cost.

The relation with the other parts of the building

(planning) is important.

In planning;
besides the dimensions of the equipment
social, economic and cultural acpects of the
society plays an important role.
SANITARY APPLIANCES
Materials should be;
durable / strong, easily cleanable and
have non-absorbent surfaces.

CERAMICS
Composition of material and firing temperature
is important.
(clay, quartz, kaolin, feldspar)

glazed earthenware
vitreous china.

PRESSSED METAL
Metal sheet shaped under a press.
stainless steel
mild steel + vitreous enamel
glass powder at high temperature,
melts, flows, covers and
forms a durable surface.

Plastic shaped in a mould,
should be supported by metal cradles.
