1. Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, really present in the most Holy Sacrament of the altar, since I cannot now receive you under
the sacramental veil, I beseech You, with a heart full of love and longing, to come spiritually into my soul
through the immaculate heart of Your most Holy Mother, and abide with me forever.

promise, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Unto you, O blessed Joseph, do we fly in our tribulation, and having implored the help of your holy
Spouse, we now also confidently seek your protection. By that affection which united you to the

Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God, and by your fatherly love for the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you to
look down with compassion upon the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased with His blood and in
our need to help us by your powerful intercession.
Do you, O prudent Guardian of the Holy Family, watch over the chosen people of Jesus Christ. Keep us,
O loving father, safe from all error and corruption. O great protector, from your place in heaven,
graciously help us in our contest against the powers of darkness. And as of old you did rescue the Child
Jesus from the danger of death, so now defend Gods Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and
from all adversity. Extend to each one of us your continual protection, that led on by your example and
strengthened by your aid, we may live and die in holiness and obtain everlasting happiness in Heaven.

9. Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
O glorious Prince of the heavenly host, Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the
fearful warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rules of this world of
darkness, against the evil spirits. Come you to the assistance of men, whom Almighty God created
immortal, making them in His own image and likeness and redeeming them at a great price from the
tyranny of Satan.
Fight this day the battle of the Lord with the legions of holy Angels, even as of old you did fight against
Lucifer, the leader of the proud spirits and all his rebel angels, who were powerless to stand against you,
neither was their place found any more in heaven. And that apostate angel, transformed into an angel of
darkness who still creeps about the earth to encompass our ruin, was cast headlong into the abyss
together with his followers. But behold, that first enemy of mankind, and a murderer from the beginning,
has regained his confidence. Changing himself into an angel of light, he goes about with the whole
multitude of the wicked spirits to invade the earth and blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to
plunder, to slay and to consign to eternal damnation the souls that have been destined for a crown of
everlasting life. This wicked serpent, like an unclean torrent, pours into men of depraved minds and
corrupt hearts the poison of his malice, the spirit of lying, impiety and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of
impurity and every form of vice and iniquity. These crafty enemies of mankind have filled to overflowing
with gall and wormwood the Church, which is the Bride of the Lamb without spot; they have laid profane
hands upon her most sacred treasures. Make haste, therefore, O invincible Prince, to help the people of
God against the inroads of the lost spirits and grant us the victory. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I
