20. Why are social events and other types of rewards so important to the choral program?
Social events and other rewards will help boost morale in the choral department. It is a
way to thank students for their hard work and dedication. You cannot achieve a successful choral
program with one individual putting in all the effort. It takes a combined motivation within all
students to reach excellence. In addition, this is a great way to get to know each child outside of
the usual academic setting. Similarly, students will have to opportunity to bond with one another
and solidify the bonds that have been created through music. It is important to show students that
you appreciate them.
