The table 1.1 shows that the population was equally distributed, only the female cluster and
male cluster had a tie breaker with one person. The female cluster consists of 11 female with
percentage of 52%. While the male cluster has 10 male with a percentage of 48%.

The table 1.2 shows the frequency of each religion type. The majority from the area consists
of Roman catholic (18 persons in frequency & 86%), followed by INC (Iglesia Ni Cristo) with 2 out
of 21 with percentage of 9%. Meanwhile Judaism earned 1 out 21 with 5% of percentage.

Based on the table above, 33% of the respondents have 3 & below members of the family while 43%
have 4-6 members. 8 out of 21 respondents have 9 and above family members. The most answered
number of family members is 4 to 6.

Based on the table above, not every family we interview has children. 14% of them is single
or doesnt have a young child. 7 out of 21 respondents have 1 child and only one respondent has two
children in their house. 29% of them answered that they only have 3 children while 10% has 4
children. One respondent has 5 daughters and sons and the other has 7 children.

We also ask for their educational attainment and one out of them graduated from vocational
education. 10% is an elementary graduate and both 43% are high school and college graduate.
Therefore out of 21 respondents, most of them are high school and college graduate.

Table 3.2 presents the type of occupation the community in San Anton.St and Palmera
St. has, if they are employed, unemployed or self-employed. Out of 21 respondents, 48% are self
employed, 33% are unemployed and 19% are employed. Based on the results, most of the people in
the community are self employed with a percentage of 48 than employed with a percentage of 19.
Therefore most people in the community are self employed.

Table 3.2 presents the type of house the people in the community has, if it is rent or
owned. Out of 21 respondents, 67% are rent and 335 are owned. Therefore most of the houses of the
respondents in the community are rented.

Most of the respondents which 62% experience other illnesses like hypertension, Asthma or
UTI. 33% of them are healthy or are not sick. 5% of the respondents has heart disease. Therefore most
of the respondents experienced other illnesses this includes hypertension.

According to the table above, 33% of the 21 respondents get their medicine in the health
center. Most of them, 43%, are buying medicine in the drugstore. 24% out of 21 respondents get their
medicine in the hospital. Therefore most of the respondents are buying their medicine in the
drugstore.

The immunization which is free in the health center is being used by 90% of the people we
interview. 5% of the respondents inject immunization on district hospital and private hospital.
Therefore most of the respondents have their immunization in the health center.

Based on the table above 62% of the respondents do not avail health services from the health
center while 38% of them do. Therefore most of the respondents does not avail health services other
than immunization provided by the barangay or by the health center.

Table 5.1 shows the food consumption of the respondents based on the meal pattern. 12 out of
21 respondents eat meal 3x a day. 6 out of 21 respondents eat meal 4x a day. 2 out of 21 respondents
eat their meal 5x a day, and one of the respondents eating meal more than 5x a day. Therefore most of
the respondents are eating 3 times a day which means they follow the common daily meal pattern.

Table 5.2 shows the food consumption based on source of food. 76% of the respondents
answered Market. 19% of the respondents answered Grocery. One of the respondents answered
Carinderia. Therefore most of the respondents get or buy their food in the market because they are
near the market which means the respondents are used to cook their own food.

Table 5.3 shows the food consumption of the respondents based of methods of cooking. 10
out of 21 respondents answered frying is there prefer way of cooking. 7 out of 21 respondents wants
Saut ( gisa) and both the stewing and others(sabaw) got 10%. Therefore most of the respondents
prefer frying as their common methods of cooking.
6. Cultural Information

Based on the table above, 16 out of 21 or 76% of the respondents eat together as a family. On
the other hand, 5 out of 21 or 24% respondents left dont eat together because theyre working
overtime based on what the respondents said.

said yes. The remaining respondents said no with a frequency of 2 out of 21 or 10%

According to the table above, 18 out of 21 or 86% of the respondents said that they have left
over after meals. The remaining 3 out of 21 or 14% of the respondents dont have left over after
meals. In conclusion, most of the respondents didnt know how to prepare enough food for their
meals. Many of the leftover is prepared on their next meal.

The main source of water of the respondents is Maynilad with a frequency of 18 out of 21 or
86%. The other source of their water is water tank with a frequency of 2 out of 21 or 10% and deep
well with a frequency of 1 out of 21 or 5%. It means that the most common source of water in San
Anton and Palmera Street is Maynilad.

Based on the table above, most of the respondents use wet market facility with a frequency of
17 out of 21 or 81%. The other respondents answered that they use both dry and wet market facility
with a frequency of 4 out of 21 or 19%. In conclusion, wet market is the main source of food products
of the respondents.

The mainly used type of toilet of the respondents is the Tabo type with a frequency of 16 out
of 21 or 76%. The other type of toilet that the respondents use is the flush type with a frequency of 5

The majority answered no from the population of the cluster. The researchers have
come to conclusion that the reason behind of this is because of the land type of the area. The
area is urban, meaning the soil are not capable of growing crops and other types of fruits and
vegetables.

The table above shows that there are no family from the chosen population do not
own any livestock. Mainly because the land area is urban and it is residential. Meaning the
livestock will only cause them uncertain diseases and parasitic disorder. Another is because of
animal ventilation and proper irrigation.

The researchers conclusion to this is that the people from the area do not make and
sell their food is because there are too busy to make and market them to their fellow kapitbahays. The reason behind this is because they take care of their numerous children to the
point that they do not have time to make and sell them.

Table 10.1 presents the source of information related to health and nutrition in the
community, if it is from television or radio, newspaper or magazine or nutrition program
disseminated by the LGU. Out of 21 respondents, 71% answered from television/radio, 14%

from other sources, 10% from the LGU and 5% are from the newspaper and magazines.
Therefore most of the people in the community are informed through television, through
news that are being disseminated in the television.
