Context: Both of these artifacts came from my practicum experience at
CedarOak Park Primary School. Fulfilling the requirements of Practicum (ED 270 and 271). The first artifact came from my winter 2016 practicum, and the second was done in the spring of 2016 practicum. Connect: The main thing to remember when developing students behavior through instruction is to make sure that we can change our teaching to better help each student. If a student feels that they are being threatened, or a student is not learning, we as educators, must learn to change our style of teaching, so that the student can learn from us. I think the best teacher I had was one that knew his students, and understood what they were learning, and adjusted his teaching, so that everyone got something out of the class. That is the kind of instructor I would like to be in my career- one that can easily adapt to their students. Contemplation: I observed my teacher at work. His methods inspired me, and I would like to be that flexible as an educator, to be able to adapt the curriculum to teach all students, so that they would all be successful in school whether they are a struggling or gifted student.
