As a hard working masters student, Im looking to obtain exposure and work experience within the Events
Industry. Beyond the Valley would be an invaluable opportunity in learning from an environment constructed of
only the best creativity, energy, seamless operations, and talented people. Ive been to BTV before, and it was a
NYs Ill never forget. Its my turn to give back.

Plan, coordinate and execute all details of various corporate and student events from International
Partner Functions to student Welcome Parties
Manage event operations such as set up, ticketing, administering registration and maintaining attendance
records
Graphic design of promotional material for events, overseas study programs, and ad hoc marketing
materials using Photoshop, InDesign, and PowerPoint (posters, web content, event tickets)
Answer student enquires and provide detailed information about overseas study programs, as well as
maintaining direct, regular communication with students from a vast range of cultures and languages
Administrative tasks processing overseas study applications, word processing, spread-sheet formatting,
gathering information and creating ad hoc reports for senior management, and maintaining orderly, upto-date databases

Prepare Income Tax Returns, managing ledgers, wages, petty cash and other journal postings
Establish time schedules and autonomously complete periodical bookkeeping duties and reporting
Update and maintain client files on various accounting software platforms
Maintain up to date tax knowledge by researching new/current legislation and attending monthly training
seminars
Resolve problems and issues by effectively communicating with clients and their advisors, and other
corporate authorities (internally and externally)

service taking any immediate corrective action where necessary
Collect orders from patrons and convey them to kitchen and/or barista staff, prepare cold drinks and

Operate POS system to manage orders and bill tables, and process cash and eftpos payments
Communicate with suppliers to collect and place inventory orders
Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping/mopping floors, sanitizing workstations, washing dishes,
taking out trash, opening/closing shop
Performing regular fridge temperature checks and maintaining worksheets for records
Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware and linens
