How is it that we are
Restrospectively, who are we if not the reflection of our actions? As a
curious learner with multicultural living experiences, I had the privilege of
understanding from a fairly early point in my life, the depth and variety of
information existent beyond my individual culture. It was only natural for
me to form the very interests, beliefs, values, and aspirations that
characterize me around this knowledge and the increasing prominence of
globalization as a theme in my childhood.

situations fueled by personal curiosity and ambition have shaped my most
meaningful life experiences in terms of personal growth. I have been

I believe the Business Honors Program presents the challenges, resources and
opportunities that will not only propel me to go beyond the boundaries of my personal
achievements, but also, allow me intertwine both of my passions- social justice and globalization
- together in a business setting to prepare me in facing the global competition and barriers I am
sure to encounter past the walls of the university.
The small size and diverse environment of the program make expansive conversation full of
distinctive perspectives and ideas readily available. The conjoining of cultures and ideas
engender a unique perspective through which to analyze squatting.
I am passionate about two related but disparate subjects: Globalization and Social justice.
The Business Honors Program appeals to me because it offers a flexible curriculum that
would allow me to merge these fields of study together.
Through multicultural living experiences I became aware of the codependency that exists

Having been born in Mexico City and lived in small towns such as McAllen, Texas,
and Montreux, Switzerland, I am a firm believer that although individualism and commitment
can go a long way, the environment that surrounds an individual plays a critical role in defining
what opportunities are accessible or limited. The Business Honors Program offers a unique
learning experience that encompasses radically different identities and ideologies, providing for
expansive, profound conversation that will necessarily lead to innovation. My travel and living
experiences have made me an individual of character, full of unique perspective and reasoning
that will reinforce the heterogeneity that categorizes your program.
Dealing with new, contrasting and contemporary ideas dares an individual to ponder and
reflect on life through multiple perspectives.
I am tenacious, and have formed firm goals and ambitions for myself ever since my early
childhood. One of them is pursuing a career in international business.
My life experiences have prompted me to think on a big scale about any projects I take on,
such as the multiple community service activities I have participated in throughout the years in
South Africa, Switzerland, Mexico, and the United States. They have allowed me to see the
capacity behind my actions and have contributed to my desire to pursue grand projects that
positively impact the world.
