General Objective:
Acquisition of knowledge, skills and desirable attitudes to function effectively as
beginning practicing professional nursing rendering quality care to clients In the Emergency
Room of Zamboanga City Medical Center focusing on Leadership, and Management, Research,
Intensive Medical Surgical Nursing, Jurisprudence and Psychiatric Nursing with the integration
of 11 core areas of competency.
Specific Objectives:
At the end of the 24 hour RLE duty, I will be able to:
Establish rapport with the clinical instructor and the staff of the Emergency Room of
Zamboanga City Medical Center effectively.
Re-orient mysefl with the physical set up, regulations,policies and protocols of the
Emergency Room properly.
Participate in the pre- and post -conferences actively.
Practice proper infection protocol procedures strictly.
Perform quick but thorough assessment of patients with medical, surgical,
psychological and social problems properly.
Perform history and physical assessment based on patients presentation
appropriately.
Demonstrate prioritization of care in managing patients efficiently.
Provide appropriate patient care answering the patient's specific needs effectively.
Communicate with patients , colleagues and other health care professionals
regarding the patience condition effectively.
Perform procedural skills pertaining to emergency medicine like resuscitation, CPR,
urinary catheter insertion, applying splints and casts, reduction of fractures or
dislocation and endotracheal intubation properly.
Document performed interventions, assessed vital signs and evaluations timely.
Document my weeks performance honestly.
