COMEDY-DRAMA ADVENTURE
As with many of the Pixar films, the story of Up can be interpreted on
different levels. To young kids, it is a funny story about an old man, a boy,
and some silly animals. Kids will love the colorful scenery, the talking dog,
and of course the house floating away with all of the balloons tied to it.
Slightly older kids may catch some of the beginning moments of the film
which reflect on Carl's life will Ellie, the joys and pains, and her death. The
tender reflection may bring a tear to the eye of adults, and reminds us of
how quickly the years add up.
2. CONFLICT
Man vs. Self
Carl was very depressed over his wife dieing and his emotions were
causing chaos to his mind and heart. Every object left behind by
Ellie reminded Carl of his wife and made him sad. An example of this
would be when Carl retained all of Ellie's belongings long after she
was dead.
Man vs. Society
Carl is facing problems regarding his property. There is mass
construction going on his area and builders want to take over so his
property. Because of this the builders try everything possible to evict
him from the house, and they succeed by taking an assault. As a
result Carl's house gets seized and he is relocated to a retirement
home, but Carl has other things in mind and floats away in his
house.
Man vs.Man
Throughout, the movie Carl is faced with many problems and
enemies. The biggest antagonist being Charles; the man who was
once Carl Fredrickson's hero and now he became his worst enemy.
Charles has been searching for an elusive bird who has became
Carl's companion, and due to this fact Charles did everything in his
power to capture "Kevin" the rare bird by destroying Carl and
Russell.

I feel that this movie apply courage in facing the challenges and willing to
take risks in facing various obstacles . This can be seen Carl willing to fulfill
the wish of his late wife traveled to the place, to fly home . Next, the
properties will love animals . This can be exemplified as the love kevin
lewis namely an ostrich exotic . Carl also highlights the same feelings when
Charles catch Kevin and try to save Kevin.
