About the client


Our client is a multinational conglomerate comprising a dynamic group of businesses
with regional offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & the Philippines and
a wide range of subsidiary companies in nearly 30 countries. The Group has seven main
business lines diversified into telecommunications, lifestyle & leisure, luxury &

Malaysia.

About the role


Reporting to the Assistant HR Manager, the incumbent will be expected to ensure to
oversee full HR spectrum.
Some of the incumbent's key accountabilities include:
Manage and supervise the HR team in its day-to-day operations and activities
Assist in establishing HR strategies, policies and practices in areas such as
employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training.
Actively partner with functional managers and HR specialist groups to administer
new initiatives and strategies that support the needs of the business
Provide advisory and consultative services to line managers on employee issues
and employment practices
Lead HR team in the development and execution of HR initiatives in support of
business goals and objectives
Partner with management to anticipate and lead through organizational changes,
identify capability gaps and align HR resources to business objectives
Identify key HR issues and coordinate resources to ensure efficient delivery of HR
products and services
Drive and lead the HR team in recruitment, assessment and selection of talent in
the recruitment and staffing process
Ensure business recruitment objectives, reporting and requirements are met in a
timely manner
Drive performance management cycles and coordinate year-end compensation
process
Skills & Experiences:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management, business
administration or social sciences
Preferred 5 years hands-on experience as a HR Generalist covering the full
spectrum of Human Resources
Ability to analyze complex situations and issues and offer viable options for
resolution

Ability to effectively operate, manage and leverage resources


Advanced level of understanding of HR policies and procedures, with strong
fundamental knowledge of the Malaysian employment law and related employment
laws, such as EPF Act, SOCSO Act, and Industrial Relations Act
Strong knowledge and practical application of all HR disciplines including
recruitment, management development, organizational design and compensation and
benefits
Payroll hands-on experience will be very advantageous
Demonstrated ability to diagnose and address problems and monitor progress
with initiatives and activities
Detail-oriented with excellent organization and time management skills

About the role
Responsible for full spectrum of human resources matters of AIF. Also to provide staff
support and other specified assignments as requested by Director of Finance &
Operational Support and/or Chief Executive Officer. Some of the incumbent's key
accountabilities include:
Administer and maintain employee payroll, personnel records, increment, leave
record, external benchmarking, salary calculations etc.
Administer and ensure that all statutory matters relating to employees are
executed on time.
Initiate annual performance review exercise and staff confirmation review.
Handle company recruitment needs via job posting, liaising with headhunters,recruitment agencies, advertising agencies etc.
Handle employee induction, employee relations and employee welfare.
Coordinate training needs of all staff as 'personal development' is a key focus of

Administer other general staff administrative duties.

Prepare annual salary and staff expenses budget.


Prepare HR related proposal, report and presentation to Management committee
and/or the Board.
Prepare yearly budget as requested.
Develop a robust employee engagement and value proposition for the company
To perform any other tasks as required from Management.
Skills & Experiences:
Degree in HRM/Law/Business Administration/Management or any other relevant
qualification.
Minimum 5 year(s) of working experience in managerial role is required for this
position.
Able to work effectively and remain calm under pressure.
Able to have strong problem solving skill, proactive and self motivated.
Clear, concise communication skills
