Mother UPPALAMMAN goddess in cult of worshipping of Magical Mushrooms

Uppalamman is one more incarnation of Goddess Durga who has Tribal origin from t
he times of immemorial.She is Goddess one who evolves in the form a mushroom in
the house
of her intrest. Coming to the nomenclature Uppalamman has many root words with m
any meanings. Uppalamman is one who protects from Uppena(Natural Disasters).She
is also
the goddess who is worshipped by clan of Upparas(ancient Sagara Kings) who turne
d as tribal inhabitants with fear from Lord Parashuram who took oath to vanish K
shatriyas
whose practices were immoral.She is called as one who evolves(Uthpannam) in hous
e of her intrest.
Coming to her origin Lord Parashuram the 6th incarnation of Lord Vishnu when cam
e to know that his father Jamadhagni was killed by sons of Kaarthveeryarjuna, to
ok oath on
the corpse of Jamadhagni to circumlate this earth 21 times and kill immoral ksha
triyas for Dharma samsthaapana. By hearing this most of the Kshatriyas became fe
arful
and thought of escaping from the vision of Parashuram and hidden in many hilly a
reas and forests. One among such fled away kashtriyas were kings of Sagara Dynas
ty
who then onwards practised salth preparation there by came to known as Upparas.
Where ever they go in their house there evolves a mushroom in the form of bloody
hand
and made them frighten that it was hand of Parashuram searching for them. They p
rayed a lot to such kind mushroom and asked for apology. Then seeds for worship
of
Mushrooms had started. Voice from sky answered that it was her who evolves in th
e places of her intrest to protect her devotee from natural disasters. Then onwa
rds
she was named as Uppalamma one who has control over disasters and immorality.
Mushrooms of these kind are distinct and are under of various types. Some of the
m may be Hand shaped which on pinching gives white latex seeking Vegeterain mode
of worship.
Other of Phallus shaped red in colour and have a cap like sructure whith brownis
h sap smelling like human orgasm there by attracting flies and is worshipped wit
h
blood and other sacrifices.This type of worshipping mushrooms was deep rooted in
almost all parts of Telengana and Andhrapradesh. In Telengana regions she is of
ten
reverred as Maisamma the mother goddess who slays demons for their actions. Peop
le when find such kind of mushrooms in their surroundings pray for the goddess a
nd worship her by helding
a marrital function under the name of Mother goddess Uppalamman and her consort
Rudra to clay pots usually called as Kalasham or Ghatam.
Cult of worshipping mushrooms in Far west :
This kind of worshipping these magical mushrooms is not only seen in India but a
lso in the Guatemala Highlands and Pacific coastal area around 1000 B.C along wi
