Read the poem by Malcolm X.
When I'm born
I'm Black,
when I grow up
I'm Black,
when I'm in the cold
I'm Black,
when I'm in the sun
I'm Black,
when I'm sick
I'm Black,
when I die
I'm Black.

And you...
When you're born
you're Pink,
when you grow up
you're White,
when you're in the
cold you're Blue,
when you're in the sun
Red,
when you're sick you're Green,
when you die you're Purple.
And you dare to call ME a coloured....".

What did the authors want to tell?

*prejudice: a bad opinion that you have about someone before or without

[Chorus]

Weeping
Josh Groban

Say ah, say ah, say ah

Say ah, say ah, say ah

I knew a man who lived in _________

It was huge, it was angry,
It was drawing near.
Behind his ____________ a secret place
Was the shadow of the demon
He could never __________

[Ladysmith's solo]
It doesn't matter now it's over anyhow
It doesn't matter now it's over anyhow
[Chorus]

He built a wall of steel and flame

And men with guns to keep it tame
Then standing back he made it plain
That the _________________ would never ever rise again
But the fear and the fire and the guns remain.

Say ah, say ah, say ah

Say ah, say ah, say ah [to end]

[Chorus:]
It doesn't matter now it's over anyhow
He tells the world that it's __________________
But as the night came round
I heard its lonely sound
It wasn't warring, it was ________________
It wasn't warring, it was weeping.
And then one day the ______________ came
They were curious to know about the smoke and flame
They stood around outside the wall
But of course there was nothing to be heard at all
"My friends," he said, "We've reached our _____________
The threat is under firm control
As long as peace and order reign
I'll be damned if I can see a reason to explain
Why the fear and the fire and the guns remain."

TRUE OR FALSE?
INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF
RACIAL DISCRIMINATION
What does racial discrimination mean? It means to treat
a person differently based on race rather than capability.
In most countries, this is considered against the law and
many people have been put into prison for racial
discrimination
Nelson Mandela said: I have fought against white
domination, and I have fought against black domination. I
have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society
in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal
opportunities. It is an ideal, which I hope to live for and to
achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am
prepared to die.
But Who is Nelson Mandela? He is one of the worlds
greatest heroes for his struggle to free the people of
South Africa. He spent his whole life fighting for racial
equality. However, he was arrested and sentenced to life
imprisonment. He was released in 1990 after being in jail
for 28 years. Three years later, in 1993, he was awarded
the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to abolish racial
discrimination in South Africa. He is an inspiration to all
the deprived and oppressed people in the world and has
never tolerated any form of racism
