WHEREAS, the Local Government Code provides, The Barangays may levy taxes,
fees and charges which shall exclusively accrue to them;
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 03, s-2012 of Barangay Paitan Norte embodying Barangay
Ordinance No. 001, s-2012 was submitted to thing office for approval;
NOW THEREFORE, on motion of SBM Jaime DL. Batac and duly seconded by SBM
Reynaldo P. Delos Reyes,this Body in an open session assembled RESOLVES as it is
hereby RESOLVED to approve the following barangay ordinance to wit;
SECTION 1.
TITLE: This act shall be known as AN ORDINANCE TAXING AND
IMPLEMENTING THE ISSUANCE OF BARANGAY CLEARANCE TO ALL SARI-SARI
STORES/RETAILERS IN THE COMMUNITY.
SECTION 2.
SCOPE AND APPLICATION: it shall be applied to all existing sari-sari
stores/retailers and to those individual who will open the same business in the future
within the community.
SECTION 3.
DEFINITION OF TERMS:

Sari-sari Store refers to the establishment where people within the community
buy their daily needs/basic daily needs such as; salt, vinegar, soft drinks, breads, salted
fish, ingredients in cooking and the link.

Retailers refers to the person doing the selling of goods to the general public.
d.) Store Owner refers to the person who manages/owners or operates the Sari-Sari
Store.
e.) Tax money that must be paid to the state, charged as a proportion of personal
income and business profits or added to the cost of some goods and services.
SECTION 4.
PURPOSE TO THIS ORDINANCE: To strengthen the collection of the
Barangay so as to increase the income needed for the deliverance and services and to
implement the legality of operation of all Sari-sari Stores/Retailers in the community.
SECTION 5.
TAX AND CHARGES: On stores or retailers with fixed business
establishments with gross sales receipts of the preceding calendar year of Thirty
Thousand Pesos (P30,000.00) or less, in the case of municipalities at a rate not
exceeding one percent (1%) on such gross sales or receipts;
SECTION 6.
Any violations or terms and condition for which this permit was granted
or when public interest will so require shall be enough to revoke the said permit and
CLOSE/PADLOCK the business establishment.
SECTION 7.
That said permit shall be valid for one (1) year and renewable on or
before January 25 of each year unless sooner revoked.
SECTION 8.
REPEALING CLAUSE: All ordinances Resolution, Rules and
Regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Ordinance is hereby repealed,
amended or modified accordingly.
SECTION 9.
EFFECTIVITY: This Ordinance shall take effect Fifteen Days (15) after
the Sangguniang Bayan approved and deemed it complied with all the requirements on
posting in all strategic places of the Barangay.
